Starting from today Friday July 23, South Korean dramas and variety shows on the Big Three networks will be preempted for Olympics coverage. It will happen as announced so some days the show may still air but if you don’t see it, like this Friday there was no new episode of SBS drama Penthouse for the Opening Ceremony coverage, then you will know it’s due to covering an event that South Korea has a good chance to medal in or is a popular sport over there for viewers. Speaking of Penthouse, it’s announced that the drama will be adding one more episode so season 3 will end with a total of 13-episodes and also serve as the grand finale for the entire drama. Like, no season 4. Reportedly Kim Sun Ok has NOT written the ending and is feverishly writing it as we speak, and is struggling with how to end it. That would happen when one has written complete and utter fantastical rubbish this season and made the drama jump the shark so hard it’s up in space at this point. With that said, viewers are still tuning in so eh, she might as well write the most batshit ending she can come up with because what’s the worse than can happen? Nothing cuz it’s the last episode ever hahaha. To leave with you what to look forward to, this season we have on character stop a moving car with her arms, another get blown up in a car bomb and return as a mummy, and said character had a twin brother who is a gangster/rapper/whatever he’s supposed to be who showed up. Ah good times, good times.
