Kim Se Jung and Nam Yoon Soo Confirmed for SBS Drama Today’s Webtoon Remaking J-dorama Juhan Shuttai — 8 Comments

  1. I am not big on jdrama remakes. Unless they flesh out the intricacies of each character, have always found jdramas a little shallow and dun go deep enough to connect with audiences. Saw the first ep of the show just to get a feel of it, dun like it much either. Dunno how Nam Yoon Su will take on the role of glasses colleague since in the jdrama he is alot older than FL. Sejeong was attached to this since early last year even before APB so theres no way she can back out but with her current buzz, she is probably inaudated with a ton of scripts and choice of top male stars. For me I feel this is a downgrade. Just hoping the writing will be good and it doesnt dim the traction built so far. Would have rather her doing Uncanny counters 2 instead.

  2. The change of the male lead is OK for me. I don’t know the Nam YoonSoo, but Na Inwoo…seems like he was well received when replacing the male lead in his latest drama, but I didn’t like his performance

  3. Picking a drama is a crap shoot but she’s gonna be as busy as she wants to be because she is really the stand out star of Business Proposal.

  4. I think Sejeong and her agency have been pretty smart so far in their drama choices. I hope this works out again for her. She has done really well for herself right after Mnet’s Produce.

  5. Jdrama remakes in Korean rarely turn out good

but if this is successful it’ll raise Kim Sejeong’s profile even higher as an actress who doesn’t need a big name/popular-with-gp male lead to do well in a drama.

    • Exactly… the source material isnt that interesting either. In fact it feels dated(2016). Hopefully they can add APB’s scriptwriters to the team and also put a trendy twist to it. Best if they kept only thd inspiration from the jdrama and spin off a totally different korean version. Theres not really a love line though so that could be a plus or minus. SBS is kinda bating fans on their twitter that a second season of APB is what they want to… that would be nice to look forward to.
