So this is kinda a cute sounding drama and a pretty good casting of the two leads based on the character description. C-ent has Xu Kai and Tian Xi Wei paired up for a fantasy romance demon-hunting period C-drama called Zi Ye Gui (子夜归) which translates as Midnight Hour Return. It’s adapted from a novel called Lady Mei’s Husband Pampering Daily Life and is about a spoiled princess who gets the powers of a cat demon and can turn into a cat and see spirits and ends up secretly being a protector for the capital city. The male lead is the younger brother of a consort so also from a well to do family and he also can see spirits so was sent to a Taoist sect to learn powers and is also a protector of humans from the spirit realm. The two end up in a contract marriage with neither knowing about each other’s real powers until later when they fall in love and team up to take down the Big Bad. Readers recommend the source novel as really cute and sweet.

Tian Xiwei was pretty good in Romance on the Farm for me so this drama will be on my watchlist if it's really cute and sweet.
Yes, Tian Xi Wei is on my list of to-watch actresses too, so I will be looking forward to it too. Also, Xu Kai is very handsome and who knows, he may finally find the leading lady he can be good with.
Then you should watch Xu Kai and Jing Tian in "Wonderland of Love" that is currently airing. It is a well-made historical, political and romance drama where the chemisty of the two leads goes through the roof. Jing Tian is definitely a perfectly matched leading lady for the versatile Xu Kai in this wonderful drama.
