K-actress Honey Lee had a good week last week with the premiere of her sageuk drama Knight Flower which got solid ratings and good reviews, buoyed by the ratings going up from the first to the second episode. This weekend she’s really off to the races as the third episode on Friday went up yet again and crossed the double digit mark to 10.8% with an impressive 2% jump which these days for a terrestrial drama is mighty hard to do. Domestic viewers are just loving this drama with feedback on how entertaining it is. Kudos to MBC for landing another drama with positive feedback and bringing the network continued good news.
Talk about three hits in a row, MBC! First comes My Dearest, then Park’s Marriage and then Knight Flower.
MBC is on a rating roll, three dramas were headed by senior actors.
I’m greatly enjoying this female version of IIjimae. Honey Lee is a badass. LOL
My Dearest and Park’s Contract Marriage failed me. I dropped them both. But Knight Flower is really a delight to watch.
I am so glad Honey Lee found her strength…I am a big fan of her dramas… She can deliver.
And then the ratings dropped back to 7% in next episode even with weak competition from My Demon. Honey Lee is really doing well with her comeback though.
Something called AFC Football Competition. All the dramas were badly hit, except Samdari
It’s known that the precedent drama’s rating helps, My Dearest sent MBC in a really good track.
For the drama itself, it’s fun for now. I’m scared that will take the serious road with the ML’s secret identity, her husband’s death, etc. Palace intrigues often are the less interesting part in this kind of fusion sageuk.
I’m enjoying this as well. At only 12 ep, I hope it will keep the fun and fast pace. I like the young ML as well, he is nicely keeping up with Honey Lee.
Well deserved… just finished ep 4 and i cant wait for the next episodes.
But will this one be a noona dongsaeng sarguk version drama? Cuz the age gap between the two leads are hugee tho.
Who cares?
For real. This one is a hit, as was Something in the Rain. Noona dramas are clearly well-liked, despite what some whiny people on here say lol
I didn’t note the age gap though. They have good chemistry and that’s the most important.
As long as the domestic audience is enjoying it. They are not even complaining. At least they are doing much better than KYJ and Song Kang. Both of them are pretty similar when it comes to age. But chemistry and Acting wise 0
I love seeing so many dramas led by actresses in their 30s and 40s being hits.
Honey Lee is a good actress, but I wish they made his older brother into her love interest. They match better physically (height) and by age, of course. They would make a great visual couple. Too late for that, I guess. Instead they are pairing (romantically) the older brother with very young looking servant. Switch the pairs somehow and this drama wins.
Actresses in their late 30’s-40’s are better and do not have to rely solely on visuals.
