• This drama is not very well balanced. It's too much about the FL and her very exhausting mother and not enough about the ML and his own arc.

• Her fans are desperate to make it a thing but it isn't working. The drama needed way more of XK and them together.

• First of all i always had a thought in my mind for yikes noona dongsaeng romance,but for she and her perfect husband

• XK is not a good kisser onscreen, and not good in acting in modern dramas imo. I watched that scene, the Shanghai scene is beautiful, lots of girls sitting in front of them (maybe fans). YZ is the only one acting and kissing a door knob... lol.

    • Bai Lu is good with anyone 😉 But I don’t really appreciate her modern dramas… her last drana with Dylan Wang is trash. I prefer Bai Lu more in costume dramas.

  • Koala's news always surprise me😂😂. Doing okay at best and it broke the highest heat record for modern drama, Yangzi's character is the first ever characto reach 90million heat index, topped all the charts during it's release, breaks 2. Ratings on cctv 8 even when last week was extremely tough bcs of the table tennis tournament and all the spy dramas going on, still first in the rerun early in the morning on cctv continuously breaking 1., Broke 100millions views for 3 consecutive days on kuyun, top with 22% share on yunhe and Koala calls it DOING OKAY AT BEST?

• I love this show. Im just a casual viewer who enjoy good story. But seriously, i really love them in this series.

  I know, some people probably got exhausted with her mom but i like how YangZi's character handle the problems. I love how mature she is.

  Currently on ep 30 and Xu Kai's background story hasnt been told much so far but it has started.

  It's basically a family story. With business focused and some romances.

  Preference, i know. But i still recommend this one.

  • Same here! I'm on ep 28 and that scene where she talks to her mom is like wow, they're really conversing because usually the problem gets shrugged off. But, the saddest ep still has to be when gma passes away.

• I like it for being a slice of life drama and it's not a bad drama although not great. Also, FL's mom is super annoying, but yeah whoever is looking for romance should shy away from this as it hardly focuses on that. I'd say it gets good around when she dumps her ex and her mom LOL.

• It seems GP don't care about that drama even though her fans are trying and make noises around it

  • Yeah right and the drama is getting good tv ratings 😂😂 but noooo it's always her fans😂😂. Word of advice for you: stop lying to yourself, it only makes you look stupid.
    Unlike many of Zi haters here, if I don't like an actor I won't even care about him or her and if I see the ratings and more also won't lie to myself that the drama is flop if it is a real hit.

    • Her fans are making noises about it for sure and try and push it hard but I feel nor see the same enthousiasm nor activity around it the way hit drama like LYF did last year. It is as if her fans try and prove something with this one here and want to grab people attention about it. I feel it is like "look! Look! It makes numbers!" and people are like "ok whatever! Oh YangZi and XuKai ! Ok whatever". In the meanWhile with LYF the attention and global hype around it came naturally and organically like one could feel people genuine love for and it worked wonders for the actors linked to it. I don't feel it will bring more to XuKai career.

    • It makes numbers for sure but it is like "ok let's move on". Nothing memorable nor career changing. So her fans feel the need lately to remind us it is making numbers while people attention are on JOL season 2 and are like "ok make your numbers and move on". I would even say "In Blossom" had a more organic sucess than "Best Choice ever". the former mentionned had both the numbers and the organic attention.

    • @Sirey yeah keep telling yourself that if that makes you sleep well at night. And comparing a modern cdrama to a historical cdrama is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen

    • Lol who is showing enthousiasm for that show except for YangZi's fans trying hard and remind everyone it is making numbers ? 🤷‍♂️ And it doesn't matter if it is historical or not the thing is drama is forgettable. Once it is done people will be like "goodbye, sayonara with your digits" : No attachment whatsoever.

• I’m surprised at how much I am enjoying it. The romance is really very quiet and doesn’t start until the second half of the drama. The best thing about this drama is grandma. She was fabulous and kept me riveted. The actress playing the mother was also very good at portraying the selfish and self-centered parent.

  What surprised me most was Xu Kai. His portrayal of a conflicted calculating businessman was very nuanced, as he tried to navigate being kind/nice and yet manipulative at the same time. He could have been judged shallow as a character but his pauses as he thought his steps ahead actually gave his character some weight and later, growth. Yang Zi, as usual, was good in delivering the emotional scenes, especially when talking to her mother.
