Where have I seen this show before? Oh yes, just a few months ago and with the same actor no less. Sigh, I really don’t know who is advising Chen Zhe Yuan on his casting issues but this same type of conflict is not looking good for him. The romance C-drama Double Track (Parallel Track) has been casting and was close to signing Chen Zhe Yuan to join Yu Shu Xin as the female lead. However he has since dipped from the project due to conflict with her side on billing order. Now the production is in talks with Gao Zhi Ting as the male lead, and he’s most recently in Rising with the Wind as the second male lead behind Gong Jun and is also in Northward as the second male lead. Looks like its an opportunity to level up and he should seize it.

It’s interesting to see C-ent elevating female leads to top billing based on their popularity and sponsorships / endorsement portfolios.
This is unlike Hollywood and non China other entertainment studios which always give highest salaries and top billing to male actors who have award wining achievements and less endorsement deals compared to their female counterparts.
I applaud the C-ent for doing justice to the female leads in their shows.

I haven't read anything concerning billing issues of CZY from other Chinese site. Some of the information that koala put on her b5log are not always true so take them with a grain of salt. To get better informations on c ent and rumors, read from other sources too.
Yeah, I wonder if the conflict is really due to billing order or if people are just assuming it fell through because of his billing order controversies from before (which is why his company shouldn't have even started those controversies). There can be any number of reasons for why someone takes or not take a job - diversifying the body of work, expecting something they wanted more to come along so didn't want to commit, etc.

you haven't read anything because this never happened. they make up lies or push rumors and add their own narratives as news. it's very sickening to say the least. also sad that this is supposed to be the only 'reliable' outlet international fans have for c-ent news
Chinese dramas be shooting themselves in the foot with billing issues. What I like about Korean, Taiwan, and Japan is we get to see actors and actresses pair up that we dreamed of without as much drama like China. They really do miss out on opportunities with these billing issues and fan wars messiness. But it is hard to tell whether a pairing will work out because sometimes the writing and directing can screw up a decent pairing too but seriously they should find a way to fix that cause they really are not helping themselves.
I don't think it's remotely truth the thing with CZY's billing because he is confirmed for one drama that will start to film very soon and there is a very strong rumour he got a drama to film after this one that he will film very soon. His name appears in every rumour of casting of any drama invoving young male leads. So I don't think he is doing badly at all. People who do casting really put his name forward to talk about in the reunions they have.
I think people here including KP have some hate bone with ZZY so any bad rumour becomes truth for them.
