C-actress Sun Li Returns to Set of Thriller C-drama with Chris Wu and Production Resumes Filming

So I don’t know if it was worth her stand but it’s her choice and whatever happens happens. C-actress Sun Li was filming a thriller C-drama Zhi Mi 執迷 or Obsession with Taiwan actor Chris Wu (Wu Kang Ren) earlier this month when she left the production which was reportedly due to her protesting Chris being the male lead after his October 1 post celebrating the founding of the PRC with what C-netizens considered lack of sincerity. Her walkout has since as over the weekend she was spotted back on the set filming scenes with Chris. If she was that uncomfortable then if I were her I would just quit the drama and move on, trying to get the production to replace Chris seems like a power move that only should be done if she has enough clout. To fail to get her way and then go back to filming makes it more egg on face IMO.

  2. You know it’s all rumours so far right? Though I wonder what does Wu Kangren has going for him that the drama investors insisted on keeping him and risking investment loss especially when he’s fallen out of favour with C-netz. Are the investors Taiwanese?

  3. Well, this is embarrassing. I assumed she was worried the drama won’t air due to Chris Wu’s non-opinion. But apparently, she just wanted him booted out but doesn’t have the balls to boot herself if she doesn’t get her way. If there’s nothing more to the story, not only is this whole thing pathetic, but also a recipe for very awkward and unhappy set throughout.

  4. If she was really about it shouldn’t she quit and refuse to work with him anymore but she’s just gone back to the set with tail between her legs. Embarrassing for her.

Can’t imagine the tension on the set now. Promo is going to be so awkward. Audiences at least want to think their co-stars get along but now everybody already knows the FL wanted the ML fired and only returned to filming reluctantly.

    • This is a thriller drama, so maybe if their character don’t have romance it won’t be a problem. But I’m agree. Not all co-stars get along or happy to film with each other, but audience don’t know about it. When this information became public it can be awkward.

  5. Well, I’m glad production company stand their ground. This can make a problems for them, but if they don’t want persuade their actor to kiss government’s ass, I’m more than respect their choice.
Now I hope it really won’t make a problems, and everything will be okay for them.
