Fans Not Digging Li Yun Rui’s Bleached Blond Hair in First Filming Peak From the Set of Modern Romance C-drama Dazzling
Good lord what has the costume designer done to poor Li Yun Rui! The man has been riding a swell of popularity and leveling up thanks to Blossom last year and the first drama he picked after that aired has started filming just last week. It’s a modern romance titled Dazzling with female lead Guan Xiao Tong and is adapted from the same name novel. Clearly his character must have sported blond hair as described in the novel but this particular shade of blond and the cut is just atrocious, by itself and on Li Yun Rui. It’s also drawing comparison to Chen Fei Yu and his blond hair look in popular youth romance Lighter and Princess from two years ago and falling short to that. TBH Chen Fei Yu always had a bad boy vibe and can pull it off whereas Li Yun Rui comes across as the class president vibe haha.
But seriously, they should cast Chen Fei Yu. He masters this kind of character.
LYR isnt bad with blonde tho. But lets see how he pulls the character off.
I’ve got halfway through the book and lost interest. Especially when they got together. Just… lewd for a young couple. Oh, im not that conservative but i prefer adults do adult things. Well, preference.
Up for anything with LYR after Blossom but whatâs the plot for this one? Love seeing both MZY and LYR thriving after their amazing drama.
That doesn’t suit him at all. He never look better than in Blossom with long salt and pepper hair.
This color looks like he bleached his own hair at home for so many times to get right color but he failed everytime and now his hair is hurting lol
First it was grey hair on Cent and now Im seeing this plastic ruined barbie hair color for second time.Please someone tell me its not on trend?! First one I saw was on Wang Anyu…. made me remember my old barbies with messy plastic hair around 90s.

Isnât bleached blond hair supposed to represent a bad boy image? It is probably why he has it for the role but it makes his facial features feel washed out. He does look odd. Maybe they will change it again due to the complaints but it seems Chen feiyu bad boy image still has not left peoples mind.
Surely I will compare his blonde image with Arthur Chen who really shone in Lighter & Princess. Although liking LYR in Blossom, I do think he looks awkward with this Kpop idol style.
I won’t check out this drama though cuz of the FL unless many good reviews about it.
