Bai Lu and Zeng Shun Xi’s Xianxia Entwined Revenge and Romance C-drama Feud to Broadcast in First Few Days of June
So word on the street is the Feud (Chinese title 临江仙 Lin Jiang Xian) is dropping in iQiyi either June 6th or days within before or after. It’s a Yu Zheng produced C-drama that he for some weird reason claimed the script was better than K-drama Goblin in one of his rants, which regardless of where it’s true or not is just such a lol thing to say and so on point to Yu Zheng’s brand of self-elevating grandeur. The drama stars Bai Lu and Zeng Shun Xi and in every still they are either posing very hard or else trying to stab/kiss/kill each other. Xianxia is my least favorite period genre but occasionally one works for me to the max but most I just watch and usually drop at some point, and these two in a Yu Zheng xianxia will need incredible reviews after it airs to lure me in. But it’s trending huge on iQiyi pre-reservations so I think it will for sure premiere to huge numbers on day 1 and I am curious to see what the first reviews are like.

Mmh. I watched the trailer today and based on that I don’t feel very optimistic about this drama. I will probably still check it out for Bai Lu once the drama has aired a good amount of episodes.
I reallllly wanted this pairing for a costume drama BEFORE we got news they pair up for this.But now that we got it and after seeing trailers I dont feel excited at all I dont know if its me or its because of the disappointment on script writers :/
I saw a glimpse of some possible comedy but the rest full of angst. Probably a million to one misunderstandings. 🙄I’m sure they will do well acting but the script seems stereotypical and maybe obnoxious with it. Maybe it will be different 🤷🏻♀️
We share same thoughts. I just saw a photo fans post about 3 marriages and 3 divorces lead couple went through… I hope writing is good so we can enjoy the acting part of it.

The small trickle of a trailer is sadly generic at best. Doesn’t do a good job to sell the whole product at all. After watching the trailer I can’t say much about the drama or what to expect. How can you judge chemistry reliable from that? As the saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover. You could be missing out …
I had high hopes for this drama but it was such disappointment because use of voice actors instead of actor/actress is a big mistake, I don’t like seeing movie or series of other country or language dubbed but now they don’t even use voice actress herself in her drama and their language, It give a bad taste and uncomfortable feeling.
