Period Romance C-drama Fated Hearts with Li Qin and Chen Zhe Yuan Scheduled to Premiere October 2nd This Week on iQiyi — 8 Comments

  1. Li Qin has another high profile drama…one with Dylan Wang.
I may not warm to her acting but will be interesting to see this partnership. Li Qin is 35yrs old but always look youthful. Chen Zhe Yuan own voice is not bad, suits his character. He will work very hard to prove himself in this drama.
The clip is interesting enough for me…

    • Yeah I think three of the actors look alike, enhanced by their similar makeup ….
It looks better than the novel….visually the actors resemble the novel characters.

    • I was thinking that too even though I’ve seen some of them before. Not sure if I’m going to watch it since the trailer makes me feel exhausted, but I hope the guys are more distinguishable in the drama and that the drama does well.

      • Agree the wigs, eye brows and makeup is so similar to the main leads. Why do that? Budget? I’m sure as the drama comes along one would probably recognize who is who.. lol

  2. Read the novel and disliked the FL character.

The male lead is such a whole forest. Not just a typical green flag man. He deserves better. While her being a total red flag.

Hopefully they’ll change the fl’s character.

  3. I agree with you. I didn’t quite like the chronology, pacing, fast romance, FL character in the novel …. Others may not agree with me but I am pleasantly satisfied with the first 3 episodes.

I was worried Li Qin might play the exact copy of the character in the book… but she did not…. in fact she appears calm with a sense of melancholy about her that blends well with her cool indifferent attitude. She also looks flawless and pretty.

I think the chronology makes more sense in the drama and the cinematography and pacing have higher production quality exceeding my expectations.

Chen Ze Yuan portrayed the lead character with greater depth and restraint than depicted in the novel.

And I must say, visually they look very compatible.
