C-actress Meng Zi Yi Injured on Set of Tigers Sniff the Rose After Supporting Male Actor Accidentally Steps on Her Very Long Head Veil During Filming
Ooof, the pictures out of the set of C-drama Tigers Sniff the Rose looked scary so I’m glad she was not more seriously injured. C-actress Meng Zi Yi is currently filming Tigers and this week she was injured filming a scene when supporting male lead Wu Han Kun accidentally stepped on her very long white head veil as she was running forward, causing her head to snap back as she fell backward. She got some scraps and bruises but nothing more serious, what a relief. Wu Han Kun openly said he was so distraught and profusely apologized and felt so bad but it was Meng Zi Yi who assured him accidents happen and she was fine and actually comforted him so he is so grateful to her. I knew it was only a matter of time that all those flowy veils and long dingles and dangles on period or xianxia characters could get tangled up during filming.
I read her face has abrasion. But she said she is tough and just got on with filming.
That’s why it’s called idol drama. Those accessories are not practical at all, just added to hypnotize fans into fantasy. lol
I’ve watched the scene many times and I am still puzzled as to why the hat didn’t come off and the veil didn’t tear. She was running, so had considerable forward momentum, but then she fell flat on her back. Could it be because she weighs less than a leaf?
I hope she recovers fast and also starts eating again.
I’m glad she’s okay! Snapping back like that- I was expecting some possible back injury. I wonder if stuff like this happens all the time. The costumes in these costume dramas have so many dangling pieces.
Thank goodness it’s just a minor injury! That picture makes it look like she almost snapped her own neck.
