Netflix Releases Posters and First Teaser Preview for Romance K-drama Can This Love be Translated with Go Yoon Jung and Kim Sun Ho Premiering January 2026
Hoo boy, get ready for domestic K-netizens to go apeshit over this lol. Netflix is starting promotions in earnest for it’s first K-drama to premiere in the new year, with Can This Love be Translated dropping on January 16th, 2026. Starring Go Yoon Jung and Kim Sun Ho, the drama will take the leads to various gorgeous foreign countries as her character as top actress films a travelogue type of show and his multilingual translator character acts as her ears to provide live translations. I like both leads and they seem very well cast from acting ability and onscreen charisma, but both have had recent hiccups. His of course right after the hit Hometown Cha Cha Cha when his personal life relationship messiness upending his onscreen image of being the nice guy but in the subsequent few years he’s come back through movies and smaller roles but this will be his first leading man in a drama role and in a romance drama no less. She was supposed to have back-to-back big dramas with this and Resident Playbook but that medical drama was delayed almost a year due to the real life doctor’s strike in South Korea. So this drama is arriving not yet to herald a new year of shows but also hopefully be a new fresh positive start for both if it turns into a hit. So far I’m loving the whole vibe, dreamy and warm.

Oh I see they are not just using Korean actors in this project. I forget the Japanese actors name but seems interesting in how diverse it may be. Hope the documentary side does not make it boring but interesting. The main actor will just have some naysayers no matter what cause that is just how it is but I feel by now it should have subsided.

While I’m glad that KSH has got his career back on track after all the shit he has been through due to his past scandal, why does people esp k-netz still hate/despise him and keep bringing up his past scandal even though it is not his fault that both the media and his despicable ex is responsible and the cause for it.
