Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage Script Adjusted for Equal Male and Female Lead Screen Time as Filming Set Commence After Lunar New Year — 15 Comments

  1. Lol I knew it. He can’t act, they should totally let him use his Mandarin of the illiterates and they will have a real party.

    Another destroyed book.

  2. This guy clearly has zero self-awareness. The source material is female-centric, yet he was too fame-hungry to pass it up. The female lead isn’t any different. If she’d even glanced at the synopsis, she should have realized that her 85-gen appearance doesn’t match the 95-gen “requirement” she’s supposed to play, even if she’s supposedly a 95-gen herself.

    • They’ve been begging Dylan for years to be in this drama. He finally gave in. You can’t really blame him when the production team had there sights on him before even choosing a FL for the role.

  3. I find hilarious how people clamor about ruining the novel as if it was A Farewell To Arms or Crime and Punishment. Chill out, we are talking about a trashy novel appealing to teenagers or romantic spinsters.

  4. Oops! This doesn’t seem to bode well at the get go. Neither lead has appeal to me as attractive actors. Nonetheless, they are watchable if everything else of a production is good. I’ll still check it out. I hope Dylan’s sub works this time and MZY should tone down her makeup, specifically her lipstick. lol

      • Her lips didn’t look that outrageously distracting in the Untamed. Idk what had happened to her these years. She looked naturally beautiful in the Untamed. I recalled some western guys were stunned by her beauty when watching UT. lol.

    • It’s the new beauty standard of V-shaped face, big lips and big eyes. Hers is just overdone because she throws on glaring red lipstick on top of that inflated lip injections, therefore it looks super unnatural and distracting onscreen.

  5. Not sure if I can trust a production that is greedy for top-billing actor for a drama that is meant to be female centric and then reworking the material to accommodate the actor. I feel they should have gone with a more popular actress paired with a newbie actor.

Will the original writer participate in adding all these ML scenes?

Even if casting and accommodating Dylan Wang ends up being the right cynical, financial decision, I don’t think it’s the right artistic one.
