Shin Ye Eun Offered Female Lead in Punishing Bullies K-drama High School Queen
This feels like the perfect role reversal and one that will likely appeal to K-viewers. Shin Ye Eun is in talks for the K-drama High School Queen, adapted from a webtoon about a former Joseon era warrior queen reincarnated into a modern day high school student who uses her martial arts skills and powerful presence to punish bullies. She’s such a talented actress with many female lead roles under her belt but it was her high school era antagonist role in The Glory that really hit it out of the park. She was mercilessly terrifying and utterly captivating in that role, but if she accepts this one she gets to be the satisfying righteous bitch punishing bullies like the one she once played. I love it!

I do hope she accepts this role. She’s amazing and her acting skills keep getting better and better with each role.
What’s with recent KDramas having nearly-30-something actors playing high school students?
It’s like they never let actresses in particular grow up and take on adult roles.
it’s not recent. they always have done that. And not only in Kdramas…
Shin Ye Eun is believable playing teenagers.
Anyone tired of school-bully dramas? I am.
I haven’t gotten tired of it, but the last ones I’ve seen are similar to each other, even though bullying can be addressed in fiction in a wide range (as in Glory). Anyway, I’ve been taking a break from K-dramas since January. I’ve had a good time watching Twelve Letters and Reborn. Both with Zhou Yiran and surprisingly dark (they tackle heavy subjects) to be modern C-dramas. Zhang Jingyi and Wang Ying Lu gave pleasant performances as well. I liked seeing new faces, I didn’t know any of the actors mentioned.
@Somebody @Shayeli
Why are you using a new username to answer to yourself? Typical idiotic behavior. It’s amazing that you’re bored with K-dramas and don’t go to watch them, so we won’t read your vitriol. Go appreciate your Chinese garbage.
Flying out of your cuckoo’s nest? You are even not able to do any mental gymnastics! lol
I was reading the webtoon and there is no artistic value to rescue. It is a story with gratuitous violence, weak and predictable plot that to top it off, they have a generic protagonist (archetypal, reminds me of shōnen characters). But knowing that in a South Korean adaptation the production manages to do “magic”, I will have high expectations, just as I did with The King of Pigs, which turned out to be a feast, despite the fact that its original source was subpar.
Why hating a drama that isn’t even recorded yet?
I would tell you to point out which line(s) hate is on, but if you got to write what you did, it’s because you don’t know how to read properly – it would be heavy for you.😂
She is also a troll like deranged @Somebody. @Shayeli is the one who was hating on Liu Yuning last year because of Inferno of Wings. Koala should ban them.
Oh, haven’t you forgotten me? What an appreciable gesture, considering the lot of commenters here who don’t appreciate him. Some are particularly mean and I doubt that you will be “hunting” them. LOL. So tell me, what is special about my opinions that you find difficult to leave behind after almost a year?🤣
Koala’s site is more exciting than other forums from time to time thanks to authentic and licensed trolls out of blue. lol. They are amusers! 🤣
