The second week of SBS Fri-Sat night drama Vagabond basically is unchanged from the first week, so I say this because those who like it will continue to do so and those who don’t probably have no reason to start now. Episode 3 ratings are 7.3%, 8.4%, 9.3% and episode 4 took in 6.8%, 8.1%, 10.2%, so this big budget … Continue reading →
I’m not a fan of the black wedding dress alternative look but I am a fan of couple being a natural fit together. That’s my vibe from seeing the new Dazed Korea wedding shoot with K-actor Kim Min Joon and his fiancee Kwon Da Mi, better known to the public as top idol rapper G-Dragon‘s older sister. The two have … Continue reading →
Okay, this sounds like a promising project for Park Shin Hye, if the rumored male lead accepts she should totally do it. K-ent is reporting that Park Shin Hye has been offered the female lead in the cool sounding jTBC sci-fi suspense drama Sisyphus: The Myth. Also in talks is veteran leading man Jo Seung Woo who is heading into … Continue reading →
Joseon-era sageuks are mostly court dramas with all the plotting and one has to go to the earlier Goguryeo, Shilla, Baekjae and even earlier to see the bloodier kingdom warring sagas. Upcoming jTBC sageuk My Country is set in the waning days of the Gorguyeo era and the dawn of Joseon so the outfits are a hybrid of the two … Continue reading →
There is a bit of 24 vibe going on with SBS Fri-Sat drama Vagabond. I know the drama is more than just 24-hours within the story but male lead Lee Seung Gi is running and rushing and chasing left and right there doesn’t seem to be a break for him to catch his breath and assess. Same goes for the … Continue reading →
I don’t think one needs to be specifically a subway cop to be totally beat (har har) at the end of the day working that job. Kudos to anyone working along the vast transportation system that keeps people moving. With that said, the latest drama posters for Catch the Ghost highlight the after effects on the job for subway cops … Continue reading →
Wow, I didn’t think it was possible to be surprised nowadays with a man’s hair style since there is a smaller variety and I figure every look has been displayed before. Turns out Lee Dong Wook can bring a fresh frenzy by debuting a longer haired look complete with artful falls around his face that harkens back to the gentleman … Continue reading →
I’ll admit to being interested in the movie adaptation of the novel 1982 Born Kim Ji Young because it was starring Gong Yoo and his third time reuniting with Jung Yumi. That’s giving her the short end of the stick but rather apt since she’s headlining a story based on a woman representing all women in South Korean society always … Continue reading →
OMG this is awesome and totally unexpected. This week TW-ent is all about Roy Qiu and his arrow to the heart direct approach. He was asked by reporter after a tabloid published a story that Roy was seen on a car date with TW-actress and his upcoming movie costar Janine Chang. Roy’s side answered swiftly that yes, he is currently … Continue reading →
Gah, I can’t believe jTBC sageuk drama My Country continues to impress with its promotional material. The latest is a drama poster straight from a Chinese style ink brush painting featuring the leads standing in an array but more meaningfully the “country” the two male leads are going to come to heads with drawn as an upside down visage with … Continue reading →
Well this is an interesting casting news but I’ll have to see it inked to believe it will happen. K-ent is reporting that Park Bo Gum has been offered the male lead in upcoming K-movie Wonderland, which made news earlier this year with Suzy being cast as the female lead. Park Bo Gum and Suzy are awards ceremony staples together … Continue reading →
I totally think Song Hye Kyo earned a break, from her job and from the public limelight. K-ent is reporting that the actress will be staying in New York to study art for a period of time. I’m guessing a quarter or semester at most but it’s definitely not a full course load. She was in NYC recently attending fashion … Continue reading →
The summer blockbuster season is fully over with dramas, shows, and movies all headed into the slower fall with hopefully temperature dropping as well. K-actor Kim Jae Wook had a chill summer after spending the late winter into early fall filming rom-com drama Her Private Life. I’m still waiting to see if there will indeed be a movie version of … Continue reading →
