Jang Geun Seok is back in Korea and was recently a guest on the KBS radio show on Cool FM called DJ Verbal Jint’s Pops Pops. I normally don’t follow his singing career, and to be honest actually try to actively stay away because his singing persona totally rubs me the wrong way. I like him only as an actor, … Continue reading →
The entire month of April has come and gone and the Park Shi Hoo rape investigation appears to have sank into the bowels of the Seoul Prosecutor’s Office from whence who knows when it will emerge. The two definitive outcomes are either charge him with various counts of rape, or not charge him for lack of evidence and close the … Continue reading →
It’s pretty neat to watch dramas getting cast in real time, because all the relevant elements currently at play in the entertainment world are so very obvious. From the moment Lee Min Ho’s involvement with Kim Eun Sook’s upcoming drama was announced, Heirs (with a super long name) became the hottest in-production drama around. Despite there being NO SCRIPT yet, … Continue reading →
I’m so glad I decided to take a leap of faith and start recapping King Flower. If I didn’t do that, episode 16 would have arrived and I wouldn’t have a regular platform to fully do this episode justice. I screencapped the hell out of this episode and couldn’t decide on which perfect one to use to top the post. … Continue reading →
I don’t mind it when I’m the only one who loves a drama, but I do love it when my drama friends also join the squeeing since the more the merrier. Jang Ok Jung, Live in Live might be the next big addiction since Nice Guy (The Innocent Man) late last year. It’s not perfect, but it’s good and damn … Continue reading →
Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love has no business being this good and driving me crazy with anticipation for more. This drama owns me heart and soul as of this moment. I think 8 episodes is more than enough time for me to take a leap of faith with this little gem now because I have this good feeling the … Continue reading →
I shall henceforth always remember this week in drama-lore as “the week it rained kisses in all of Koala’s crack dramas”, or maybe “the week the kisses were all in the rain in Koala’s crack dramas”. Take that as a spoiler for a certain drama episode imma recapping as fast as my fingers can type. Who knew rain could hurt … Continue reading →
When I first heard that Park Gun Hyung was joining the Moon Geun Young sageuk Goddess of Fire Jeongi, I was elated. He’s an engaging actor and they have worked together before in Innocent Steps back in 2005 (wow, so long ago, and she was still a teenager then). Plus I haven’t seen him onscreen since I Do, I Do … Continue reading →
With each episode I love Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love just that little bit more. This isn’t a diss on the drama in the slightest. My love is growing steadily because the drama pulls that out of me with its rich tapestry of romance blended beautifully with re-worked political intrigue from that certain time period in Joseon history. It’s … Continue reading →
That was easy – with one picture I’ve been sold on the upcoming new drama pairing of Ady An and Mike He. They are seriously adorable without being cloying. It is the first time working together for these two though collectively they have been in a good third of major Taiwan idol dramas if you add it all up. Mike … Continue reading →
Episode 16 of King Flower was so good (minus the completely pointless and random Da Li and Ah Xi scenes at the end) that it deserves an early post discussing the preview for episode 17. I’ll post the additional video previews as its released and the written preview as well when the time comes, but I have to discuss this … Continue reading →
There are a bunch of new stills for Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love, and below I’ve translated the short written preview and linked to the latest video preview for episode 7. Seeing Ok Jung in the bath or the image of Lee Soon doing a manly grab of Ok Jung doesn’t strike me as a sensationalized ratings grab, because … Continue reading →
The first half of episode 16 of King Flower was so good I was crying and smiling simultaneously. I would have recapped this sucker already if I didn’t have girlfriends in town to entertain. This episode was one successive revelation after another and everything was fantastically done. Terry came clean with President Du, Qin Mo made his usual Dr. Crazy … Continue reading →
