Kang Ji Hwan, currently starring in the I-pray-it-will-miraculously-get-better Lie to Me, was featured in the June issue Cosmopolitan Korea magazine. I love these pictures, cool and moody without being too edgy or posed. I can’t MINE him since like half the bloggy world is in a MINE-detente about him, but I can stare all I want, which isn’t hard to … Continue reading →
Do you see the Top Models? I don’t. All I see when I look at these photos from the June edition of Elle Korea are Kim Jae Wook. I think there are leggy ladies in the pictures with him, but I can’t pry my eyes away from him to confirm that. Kim Jae Wook attended a book release for the … Continue reading →
Best Love appears to be upending the traditional rom-com love development. Rather than have the angst be about the couple not knowing or denying their feelings for each other, here all the feelings are pretty much laid out in the open, but we’re getting boatloads of angst that is going to hurt so bad. I’m so invested in this drama … Continue reading →
After a month of filming, GTV finally released the first official stills of Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen in the upcoming TW-drama In Time With You. This has been a very low-key production for various reasons, one of which has to be all the media swarming over to currrently filming Extravagant Challenge. The low-key vibe suits everyone at ITWY just fine, as sometimes … Continue reading →
Seriously, if these two people got any cuter as a couple I might actually fursplode into a real Koala simply by staring at them, the way Jacob goes all wolfy in the novels-which-shant-be-named. Rainie Yang and Joseph Chang attended a Drunken to Love You fan meeting at Taipei’s Mitsukoshi department store this weekend, showing up wearing a couple’s outfit, which … Continue reading →
I seriously must applaud Hwang Jung Eum‘s courage – for not only stepping out in public wearing the outfits she was saddled with by May’s Elle Girl magazine, but working the fascinatingly bizarre get-ups and being photographed in it for posterity. The fashionista in me cringed when I saw these pictures (a nightmare from head-to-toe), but the nerd in me … Continue reading →
Simply gorgeous. Elle China magazine paired up Joe Cheng and top-model-trying-to-be-an actress Lin Chi Ling for a Spring photoshoot, and the result was high fashion magic. I’ve come to the realization that Joe vacillates between great performances and crap performances, but his model-beginnings never fail him. Between Joe, Mike He, and Ethan Ruan, I think Joe vogues the best. As … Continue reading →
I posted about the upcoming SBS sageuk Tree with Deep Roots (Deeply Rooted Tree) here back in March when Jang Hyuk and Han Suk Kyu were cast as the leads, respectively playing a court investigator and King Sejong. The drama is scheduled for a September Wed-Thurs slot, and is getting a nice head start on casting and pre-production. Shin Se … Continue reading →
Knowing how hard and how intensely Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru loved Avril and Yi Xian, respectively, it makes my toes curl when I consider how deeply they will fall in love each other. And what’s even better is that they realize how special the other person is because they’ve been through the crap pile of love that Avril and … Continue reading →
Dayum boy, you are getting finer by the day. Wu Zun graced the pages of May’s Esquire HK magazine, and I’m not even going to bother translating the article, because my boy Zun isn’t exactly known for his, uh, deep thoughts. What he is known for (to-die-for cheekbones, patrician features, and the ability to be the prettiest man in any … Continue reading →
I have no idea how that picture above got to be the post topper. Nope, no clue. My lusty alter ego must have done it. All I know is that if Drunken to Love You pulls another bait-and-switch on us or Avril goes and interrupts the happy sexy times between Xiao Ru and Jie Xiu, I’m sharpening my knives for … Continue reading →
I am so happy that 49 Days is over (with an ending I found fitting and meaningful), so that I can devote the rest of my Wed-Thurs only to Best Love (The Greatest Love). How do I love this drama, I cannot possibly count the ways. Episode 6 introduced the first major moment of emotional angst into the drama, and … Continue reading →
I think writer So Hyun Kyung elevated her craft a notch in writing 49 Days. It was leaps more sophisticated and mature than the lightweight but charming Brilliant Legacy/Shining Inheritance, and much broader in depth and breadth than what I saw of Prosecutor Princess. Whether you like the ending or not, it’s hard to argue that this drama didn’t aim … Continue reading →
