I’m glad to see Kim Yoo Jung heading into another new project, I was so mid on My Demon despite trying so hard to love it, ultimately the narrative lackings overcame my love for her as the lead. She’s in talks for a new K-drama called Dear X adapted from a webtoon by the PD of Goblin. It’s about an … Continue reading →
This is legit a woah and I hope he’s not peaking too fast moment for K-actor Byun Woo Seok. He’s been on a two month tear since tvN drama Lovely Runner premiered and it just wrapped up last week which means he’s now on post-drama activities all lined up, including sold out fan meetings and other ancillary promos. It’s no … Continue reading →
So Lost You Forever may just suffer the most of a hit drama getting the momentum wind sucked out of it thanks to splitting into two parts. Part 1 aired last summer and was as closed to what I had hoped for being a mega fan of the source novel. This is probably as good as it gets in terms … Continue reading →
The year is half over now that it’s June 2024 and one big name in C-drama land I’ve not yet seen out with a drama is Dylan Wang. Last year in 2023 he had three C-dramas, not to say any of those were good lol but at least there was stuff to watch. He’s usually done 2-3 per year but … Continue reading →
Well this is surprising and a very good outcome for C-actress Yang Zi. She’s mostly an idol actress with some roles in mainstream serious dramas but as a grown up child actress with over 20 years in the industry she is very well known in and out of it. This year at the upcoming 2024 Magnolia Awards, Yang Zi was … Continue reading →
C-actress Zhao Lu Si‘s short break after wrapping filming for period drama The Story of Pearl Girl is over as she’s headed back to the set in a week or so on June 10th. The new drama is a modern romance titled Let Me Shine (許我耀眼 Shu Wo Yao Yan) and the male lead will be William Chan. Earlier it … Continue reading →
Why does most of any bad press for C-actor Wang Yibo always start with “his fans”. The latest brouhaha in C-ent is Wang Yibo’s fandom going berserk and publicly denigrating veteran C-actor Wang Yang, who starred in War of Faith earlier this year with Wang Yibo. The nominations came out for the Magnolia Awards hosted by the Shanghai Television Festival … Continue reading →
This is either a case of foot in mouth syndrome by the PD of Lovely Runner, or he really is as douchey as this makes him sound. PD Yoon Jong Ho gave a post drama interview to discuss the popularity and success of the show and he discussed the “tough love” he gave to lead actress Kim Hye Yoon in … Continue reading →
This C-drama adaptation of the youth romance novel Cherry Amber (English title Our Generation) has been in talks for a few years now but it’s normal in C-ent for a long lead up to the casting. Prior years have floated the possibility of Wu Lei and Zhao Lu Si reuniting for this but both have leveled up and moved on. … Continue reading →
So May went with no grippy C-drama for me, I’m not on the Joy of Life train so I can’t watch season 2 without even watching the original, and Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact was so listless and wan it’s like a match made specifically to sadden me. That means tomorrow’s June 2nd premiere of period revenge C-drama The … Continue reading →
The first sneak peek of K-actress Kim Hye Yoon‘s pictorial for GQ Korea was three weeks ago and now the full spread is out. She landed it after Lovely Runner became a buzzy hit in South Korea and hopefully this placated some of her ardent fans who felt she wasn’t getting promoted properly by her agency in the wake of … Continue reading →
What a cute set of pictures of two cuties to bring a smile to the face heading into the weekend. On May 31st, Hyeri had Byun Woo Seok on her Youtube show and afterwards shared three pics with him. The two worked together and are friends from the K-drama Moonshine and of course Byun Woo Seok is currently the hottest … Continue reading →
In yet another record set by Lovely Runner, or record set thanks to Lovely Runner, cable network tvN‘s hit Mon-Tues drama was exclusively streaming on TVING and last week the total viewership hours came out and for the first time in history it beat out streaming giant Netflix. Last week TVING had a total viewership of 2.5M hours watched and … Continue reading →
