If there was anyone who reacted decisively and took on full responsibility the quickest in the Seungri and Jung Joon Young scandals, it would be former BEAST/Highlight member Yong Jun Hyung. He admitted being a part of the hidden camera sex video sharing and has quit his idol group. Early in when the group chat first leaked on the media … Continue reading →
It’s hard for fans to not fangirl over a celebrity in person and it’s true even when the event has people who work in the entertainment industry. This weekend at the wedding of entertainer-actor Kwang Soo‘s long time manager, the actor and his good friend Song Joong Ki were in attendance and understandably mobbed by the ladies. The two pictures … Continue reading →
Couture brand sponsored events have been fuglyville in recent weeks so it’s a nice visual treat to see one nice looking outfit make an entrance. Idol-actress Yoona attended the star-studded Chanel event in Seoul launching the Chanel collaboration with rapper Pharrell as well as the opening of a new flagship space in the city. Lots of K-stars were in attendance … Continue reading →
I’m a little surprised to hear that singer-actress IU has never been on the big screen before. She’s been in the industry for nearly ten years and I totally thought she would have done a movie by now, if not as the lead then as a supporting role like she did working her way up in dramas. Turns out she’s … Continue reading →
I wonder how stars feel about going to brand sponsored and promoted events? Is it as dull as us normal folks going to work and logging on for a day of typing away at a desk job? Getting dolled up for us is an occasion but for them sometimes its a job and K-actress Gong Hyo Jin certainly looks like … Continue reading →
I don’t think the K-ent landscape has changed dramatically for K-actor Joo Won in the nearly two years he’s been away serving his military service. He already experienced the steep drop off in ratings for prime time dramas and the emergence of cable as a new force to be reckoned with, but returning last month he is re-entering entertainment at … Continue reading →
Winter is done and with the arrival of spring there seems to be some spring cleaning in K-ent. Last week it was Suzy leaving longtime agency JYP after 9 years, and this week Girl’s Day‘s Hyeri is coming to the end of her contract with agency Dream T and is confirmed not to re-sign. She is reportedly looking to join … Continue reading →
K-actor Seo Kang Joon has gotten really good reviews for his most recent dramas Are You Human, Too and The 3rd Charm but I passed on both. I think he needs an even more serious type drama breakout much like Nam Joo Hyuk did recently with the incredible and heartwarming The Light in Your Eyes (Dazzling). This upcoming project might … Continue reading →
tvN wrapped up Wed-Thurs romance drama Touch Your Heart this Thursday and sending off the cute couple of Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na makes way for pulled from manhwa pages couple Park Min Young and Kim Jae Wook in Her Private Life. The latest stills show the two leads in different environments – Park Min Young’s curator by … Continue reading →
While the Burning Sun illegal activities allegations spread, there’s the other central investigation into a phone text chatroom with K-celebs sharing hidden camera photos and videos of unwitting women being secretly filmed. Today Seoul police booked Seungri for sharing hidden camera sex videos, adding him to the other two booked so far Jung Joon Young and Choi Jung Hoon. Choi … Continue reading →
If hips don’t lie then many if not all netizens would like to think our eyes don’t lie. That’s why speculation about possible surgical procedures or enhancements done by stars countered by the denials of she/he who doth protest too much always ring hollow. Sure one can never know for certain but it’s hard to believe it’s all just a … Continue reading →
The Burning Sun nightclub scandal involving Big Bang member Seungri has now added a new criminal activity that went on there. To keep track there was drugging, sexual assault, hidden camera recordings in VIP rooms, and tax evasion. You can now add money laundering to the list courtesy of suddenly the most famous tacky rich tai tai in Asia the … Continue reading →
This is a smaller-ish casting news or now lack thereof casting news for an upcoming K-drama. I got all excited last month with actor-singer Eric (Moon) was in talks for a K-drama return with a fantasy romance role in Perfume. It’s the story of a woman who loses it all getting a second chance at love and the man who … Continue reading →
