On one hand I am pleased he came clean but on the other hand oooof this one hurts because I really liked him and now he’s cancelled in my mind. Former Beast and now Highlight member Yong Jun Hyung, who I came across thanks to the K-drama Monstar years ago, was initially swept up in the Seungri/Jung Joon Young chatroom … Continue reading →
I’m probably inordinately excited for tvN rom-com Her Private Life but honestly it’s been awhile since I’m so genuinely stoked. Male lead Kim Jae Wook has never done a rom-com leading man role, despite kinda stealing half the show of Marry Stayed Out All Night even when I was an OTP stan in that drama. Park Min Young is on … Continue reading →
The Seungri scandal is like the horrible reverse of the gift that keeps on giving, or more aptly the pandora’s box that should be opened for the greater good of K-ent housecleaning but HOMG is it stomach roiling to read about. The latest bad acts stemming from Seungri’s noxious chatroom members Jung Joon Young and Choi Jung Hoon of FT … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim Yoo Jung personifies the Chinese saying “youth is the original wealth”, meaning that being young is itself a total asset. She’s gorgeous, don’t get me wrong, but she radiates and glows with this mesmerizing youthful aura. It likely comes from her photo shoots and pictorials not overly accessorized or made up, and she tends to rep brands that … Continue reading →
I still can’t believe I’m typing out 30 with respect to C-actress Liu Shi Shi because I first saw her in 2008 getting her first big break as the second female lead in the 2006 adaptation of Legend of the Condor Heroes. She filmed that drama when she was just 19 years old and here she is in 2019 turning … Continue reading →
As the revelations fly fast and furious, the hammer dropped big time and not a moment too soon for singer Jung Joon Young. What started off as Big Bang Seungri‘s scandal with his club Burning Sun turned into a chatroom scandal with celebs and other dudes sharing hidden camera sex videos. At the center was Jung Joon Young who did … Continue reading →
This news totally slipped my radar but a month late isn’t that bad especially to share some happy updates from China rather than the slew of bad news coming out of K-net. Chinese actor Yuan Hong announced the birth of their first born a baby boy with actress wife Zhang Xin Yi this past February 14th. It’s a Valentine’s Day … Continue reading →
Medical K-dramas are not as ubiquitous these last two years as it was in nearly a decade prior where a viewer couldn’t help but trip over at least one medical drama airing in nearly every time slot from all the networks. Now we have two coming on prime time with KBS premiering Doctor Prisoner this month, and now SBS is … Continue reading →
K-pop group Big Bang is probably done with and its maknae member Seungri definitely is done with as he has announced his retirement from showbiz after the breadth of his current legal woes expanded once again. On the heels of running a club rife with violence and engaged in tax evasion by registering it as a restaurant, Seungri is now … Continue reading →
Just regular folks walking to walk is what the drama production team wants us to believe when we see Nana and Jang Ki Yong in the latest stills from Kill It. The drab concrete jungle background, the matching serviceable and practical long black coats, she’s even in sneakers to be as just a regular gal as possible. But it’s impossible … Continue reading →
The wheels came off the oppa train for K-idol Seungri and it’s been awhile since I saw the media swarming a disgraced K-star picture like these. Big Bang‘s maknae member Seungri finds himself in genuine legal trouble to start off the week as police in South Korea have officially named him as a suspect in their investigation into allegations that … Continue reading →
This isn’t quite a star is born but is definitely a star has descended as K-actress Jeon Ji Hyun did attended a mall stop even that was quite kitschy but she pulled it off with aplomb. Jeon Ji Hyun was in Nanjing, China for a skincare and makeup event at the Hera store, a brand she’s been repping for many … Continue reading →
When bad clothes happens to good people is the tagline of this post. Awesome actors Gong Hyo Jin and Joo Ji Hoon were stuck in fashion hell at the Christian Dior event this week in Seoul, doing their best to not get swallowed alive by fugly. Gong Hyo Jin wore what is best described as a while sleeveless sweater dress … Continue reading →
