The visuals with the leads of Why Secretary Kim are so spot on for the roles based on the webtoon and vis-a-vis each other that it makes up for whatever flimsy narrative is in the teasers so far. All I know is that the company president Park Seo Joon is harmlessly narcissistic and his secretary Park Min Young appears prettily … Continue reading →
I feel so bad for the entire cast and crew of About Time, even moreso now that it’s clear that removed second male lead Lee Seo Won could have alleviated the situation if his situation was made known when it happened in early April. Lee Seo Won has been charged with sexual harassment and threatening assault with a weapon for … Continue reading →
It looks like I can’t stop Hwang Jung Eum from hamming it up like she’s in a silent movie and needs to act by expression alone, but conversely Namgong Min is so exquisitely restrained that it balances the drama universe out somewhat. The latest previews are out for SBS Wed-Thurs drama The Undateables (Handsome Guy and Jung Eum), premiering next … Continue reading →
Consider me surprised that TV Chosun sageuk The Grand Prince (Daegun) did so well (on cable) in ratings, becoming the highest rated drama for the cable network’s history since its launch in 2011. Starring Joo Sang Wook, Yoon Shi Yoon, and Jin Se Yeon, the drama got ratings of 2.519% at the premiere all the way up to 5.627% in … Continue reading →
I feel like the K-drama People of Incheon Airport cannot get anyone to actually commit to being at that darn airport. K-ent is reporting that Park Bo Gum has been offered the male lead and is considering the romance drama Boyfriend. This obviously puts a twist on him being in talks for People of Incheon Airport the same way Suzy is … Continue reading →
Bad behavior seemed to have slowed down in K-ent after the MeToo movement hit the shores a few weeks ago but clearly the youngsters have not all absorbed the lessons and severity of the repercussions. K-ent is reporting that actor Lee Seo Won has been under police investigation since early April for sexually harassing a female star and then later … Continue reading →
While K-actress Yoon Eun Hye is in China this week for promotional events, the great news is that she’s also confirmed to be coming back to Korea in her long awaited drama land comeback. Yoon Eun Hye is confirmed to be the female lead in the upcoming 2018 romance drama Love Watch. Her male lead will be Chun Jung Myung … Continue reading →
I love reunions and this one is a long ways out, thirteen years later to be exact. Upcoming Taiwan movie Let’s Cheat Together (Chinese title The Mayor’s Wife’s Secret) headlines Chen Qiao En as the titular mayor’s wife and Ming Dao has a role as the mayor’s fixer who gets brought in to clean up the mess when scandalous pictures … Continue reading →
Apparently Lee Jong Seok and Kim Ji Won are still in discussions for upcoming romance K-drama See You Again, and maybe the production is tired of waiting hence the report today emphasizing the offers out to them and stating that script reading will be held this Saturday May 19th. The drama will be 100% pre-produced and air on Netflix, with … Continue reading →
I’m liking the further casting of upcoming K-drama Memories of Alhambra which has already confirmed high profile leads Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye. After a relatively well-received supporting role in last year’s Missing 9, Chanyeol of the idol group EXO has been cast in Memories as the younger brother of Park Shin Hye’s character. Joining Chanyeol in a supporting … Continue reading →
The British are dominating many of the news cycles world wide thanks to the marriage of a famous prince to a real life cinderella story of his actress fiancee. I’m assuming tourism to the England is going to spike around the wedding weekend but I’m way more interested in visiting for the English spring scene. The lush foliage and picturesque … Continue reading →
Oh dear these two are going to be such eye candy onscreen. The first couple stills are out of Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young in upcoming tvN romance Why Secretary Kim, and by couple I mean in the same frame looking like a couple attending a black tie affair even though they are likely still just company president … Continue reading →
I haven’t seen Tang Yan in a quite some time due to not watching any C-dramas recently and also the lack of gossip columns about her that used to dominate the headlines. She’s been dating her frequent drama costar Luo Jin for two years now and the two continue to star in dramas together, I’ve lost count of how many … Continue reading →
