So the premise for Queen of Tears wasn’t anywhere near enough to suss out the tenor of the drama. Is it a melodrama, a romance drama, a melo thriller, an office romance, who knew but the drama starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won certainly got the attention anyways. But the latest posters and previews shed more light on … Continue reading →
I’m not quite sure what we’re getting with the K-drama Queen of Tears but I don’t care much since it’s all about the return of Kim Soo Hyun as a drama male lead in two years and paired with Kim Ji Won. The drama released yummy new stills that frame both leads so beautifully from the camera lens and also … Continue reading →
So this drama is already done filming so these script reading stills are from likely a whole year ago. But its release means its closer to airing and indeed the K-drama The Queen of Tears is coming next month in March 2024. Starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, I love them already but was even more pleased to … Continue reading →
This is one of the most high profile K-dramas of 2024 and has a confirmed March airing date on tvN so I am not surprised to see the promos starting. A first still has been released of leads Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won in the drama Queen of Tears penned by writer Park Ji Eun as her first … Continue reading →
So this K-drama got a lot of news last year for being the project that would cast face-twins Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee, and the two even teased it on their socials and tagged each other. In the end neither signed on to the thriller murder mystery K-drama The Price of Confession and the production quietly went about … Continue reading →
Filming is underway in Seoul for the K-drama The Queen of Tears, the big budget production with A-list leads Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won and written by hitmaking screenwriter Park Ji Eun of Crash Landing on You and You From Another Star. A big casting news this week and I have a strong sense this casting will be the final one. Kim Ji Won is in talks to be the leading lady of the high profile K-drama The Queen of Tears, the next work from writer Park Ji Eun of Crash Landing on You. If she accepts she will join male lead … Continue reading →
The was news long in the coming and makes a lot of sense. The Arthdal Chronicles couple will not be reuniting in reel life but will be reuniting as same agency mates in real life as Kim Ji Won has joined the same agency as Song Joong Ki. He formed the agency in 2020 and it was called History D&C … Continue reading →
So the order of the GIFs and pictures are in the ranking of how frequently K-netizens discuss wanting these two to work together. I can’t disagree with most dream pairings especially when the perfectly curated GIF delivers all the feels in mere seconds of a stitched together scene. To date, the most common wish is for Hyun Bin and Jeon … Continue reading →
The actor and actress agency move is basically a lesser version of the off-season sign and trade racket of the NBA, of which is always so juicy it sizzles up the doldrums of summer to follow along. For K-stars, the agency swaps happen all year round usually when their contract is about to expire, and fans always think its the … Continue reading →
Not every drama pick is a success but the track record for Kim Ji Won now says way more successes then meh ones and I’d pick that route for sure. She just finished jTBC drama My Liberation Notes which got rave critic reviews when it premiered and then got audience love plus an increasing ratings trajectory to nearly double in … Continue reading →
Ratings is definitely important and more often than not correlated with how popular a drama is. But the rare instances a drama can get lower ratings but higher online buzz and that’s the cast with My Liberation Notes. For a jTBC cable drama it started with 2.941% which is not super low but the network has seem many dramas premiere … Continue reading →
