I’m not surprised Song Hye Kyo‘s character’s outfits are hard trending in South Korea after two episodes of tvN Wed-Thurs drama Encounter. I was unexpectedly noticing all her clothes, shoes, and accessories as well when I was live watching. In particular, her red shirt dress by high end Korean brand AvouAvou is all the rage now when plenty of knock … Continue reading →

I’m going to come right out and say that I freaking love love love tvN drama Encounter (Boyfriend). In fact, I wish the English title stuck with the direct translation of the Korean title of Boyfriend, however generic is it this drama currently centers around the titular future boyfriend and makes so much emotional sense that I’m hooked. Domestic viewers … Continue reading →
It’s pretty cute to see the leads of tvN drama Encounter (Boyfriend) dressed in coordinating style classy outfits for the press conference. Park Bo Gum donned a autumnal beige double-breasted suit and Song Hye Kyo complemented with a white suit dress with beige heels. He’s cut the long shaggy locks from earlier this summer which was also his look during … Continue reading →
The overseas shoot portion of upcoming tvN romance drama Encounter went all the way to Havana, Cuba, an exotic locale for sure even for many Westerners much less a K-drama selection. Fans of early Hallyu K-dramas should remember the trend for overseas shoots in romance dramas involving the two leads meeting as strangers in a strange land. The production of tvN drama Encounter (Boyfriend) is doing a great job of delivering a very clear vibe and message. The drama about an older rich divorcee and a younger scrappy man meeting in exotic Cuba and falling for each other is the kind of romance that drama fiction conjures up that is so unrealistic. And yet the promos have … Continue reading →

Set in the location shoot scenes in Cuba, the … Continue reading →
I’m toggling between the name change for upcoming tvN drama with the Korean title Boyfriend and now the English title Encounter. I guess it’s an encounter by female lead Song Hye Kyo that gets her a boyfriend, which makes both titles especially fitting with strung together. Encounter marks Song Hye Kyo’s first drama in nearly three years since mega hit … Continue reading →
The titular Boyfriend, and his onscreen girlfriend, sat across from each other at the script reading for the upcoming tvN drama. K-actress Song Hye Kyo makes waves wherever she goes and her recent airport appearance this week does double duty. It confirms this age-less beauty looks glowing and radiant even with minimal makeup, dressed casually in black oversized shirt with jean shorts combo, and with a baseball cap covering her hair. It’s what’s underneath the baseball cap that got a lot … Continue reading →
