First Teasers for Boku to Star no 99 Nichi with Kim Tae Hee and Nishijima Hidetoshi

It’s like this weird switch has been flipped on between Kim Tae Hee and myself. I won’t lie about how much she used to annoy me. But after My Princess, pretty much she’s turned over a new leaf in my eyes and I’m so easily charmed by her. It doesn’t hurt that she’s following up one sparkling rom-com with what appears to be another rom-com, the J-dorama Boku to Star no 99 Nichi (My 99 Days with a Star) with Nishijima Hidetoshi.

Kim Tae Hee will play a top Korean actress who is working in Japan for three months, while Nishijima Hidetoshi will be a part-time security guard assigned to protect her during those 99 days. Have a look at the first two teaser trailers, which are really peppy and definitely confirms this will be a light-hearted rom-com. The drama will premiere in October 23, 2011, and will be going head-to-head with KimuTaku‘s Nankyoku no Tairiku airing on TBS. I actually think this is brilliant counter programming by Fuji TV.

First Teasers for Boku to Star no 99 Nichi with Kim Tae Hee and Nishijima Hidetoshi — 18 Comments

  1. This looks adorable! I think KTH should stick to the romcom department, serious dramatic roles maybe isn’t her cup of tea really as an actress.
And I knew it, Sweet Power also got Sakuraba Nanami in the dorama (SP, usually has another girl in a small part if one of their girls have a leading role)

    • searching about Nishijima Hidetoshi and just found he was the man lead in Sayonara Itsuka, OMG!! In that movie he was so damn hot (sorry my word) even though I’m not into the story. He looks lil bit different here, more soft. Oh Ms. Koala u make me want this drama, LOL. Thanks for sharing

  2. When I saw this listed, I didn’t pay much attention, but now I’m curious. I loved her in My Princess. Him, I haven’t paid much attention to since Unfair, but I’m looking forward to watching this now. Thanks…. (for once again adding to my never ending list of dramas to watch).

PLUS, the fact they used Dancing Queen in the promo made me giggle.

  3. The main guy looks kinda old for her and not cute at all. I was hoping she would pair up with some hot jap actor. sigh…………..

  4. to be honest, i have never seen a jdrama before not even once, i don’t know why but it just never appeal to me i tried many times though but with no success i can’t even finish 1 episode 🙂
