Cheese in the Trap Movie with Park Hae Jin Along with New Cast Gets Valentine’s Weekend 2018 Premiere Date

I’m not sure who the target audience is for the Cheese in the Trap movie but if there are any then the film has been confirmed to hit the theaters on Valentine’s Day weekend of 2018. That’s less than a month away and there hasn’t been any promos yet so that’s not going to bring in the audience by stealth. It’s been exactly two years since the K-drama adaptation of the popular webtoon hit the small screens with male lead Park Hae Jin, Kim Go Eun, Lee Sung Kyung, and Seo Kang Joon.

It was frustratingly imperfect but still an intriguing watch for the first half until it all went to pot. The movie appears an attempt to deliver a more satisfying wrap up of the story but does away with three out of the four original leads, only bringing back Park Hae Jin and this time he’s paired with Oh Yeon Seo along with new supporting leads Park Ki Woong and Yoo In Young. I like the new cast but then I also liked the old cast, and ultimately this movie doesn’t scream blockbuster potential but if its a way to give the fans of the K-drama a cohesive conclusion then that’s fine by me.

  1. I will try to watch this movie.but im wonndering bout oh yoen seo n her chemistry w her co-stars.i like her acting.her chemistry w kim ji hoon is cute in jang bori.after tht its kinda turn diff.i dont really feel chesmitry btwn her n jang hyuk or joo won or lee seung gi.
This is my opinion only.n i actually watch all her dramas after jang bori bcause i really like her

  2. I prefer the casting of the drama. They looked more like college students. Honestly, I liked the drama and I think they should have waited for the movie and the fact they kept one actor of the drama, it’s weird for me.

  3. Really? Just shortly after the drama? Really not necessary thou. Especially with the same male lead it will feel repeated. I like the drama cast more. The female lead and supporting casts were so good.

  4. AS a fan of the webtoon for so long, I decided to wait before watching the drama and I guess I ended up never watching it for you know what reason … All my hope are now on this movie. So bring it !

  5. I really enjoyed the drama till about eps 7 onwards, it was a very disappointing drama from then on. The writer was very upset she was not involved with the production too.
I do hope this movie will be screen in China with the ban slowly lifting. That is their big market.

  6. I’d like to see the end, and I love Park Hae Jin. Sure it was disappointing that no old cast in the movie, however I think that the new cast is not bad either. Still looking forward to the movie.
