High Cut Captures the Jang Dong Gun and Park Hyung Sik Bromance for K-drama Suits

The male leads of the upcoming KBS drama remake of US legal show Suits definitely are all in in developing the onscreen bromance. It doesn’t hurt that younger lead Park Hyung Sik totally reminds me of a young Jang Dong Gun, so it’s a doppleganger-esque situation with two actors I like. The two leads are featured in the current edition of High Cut Korea in suits that look like it’s borrowed from their Suits costumes along with a more retro cool threads that look right at home lounging in an old school law firm partner’s office on a late night with a tumbler of whiskey. Recent year’s K-drama remakes of Western shows have been wildly hit-and-miss even with rock solid casting, here’s hoping Suits brings the interesting story lines and smooth execution.

High Cut Captures the Jang Dong Gun and Park Hyung Sik Bromance for K-drama Suits — 8 Comments

  1. I am so watching this for Hyung Sik. So here begin my drama’s agony. How am I going to squeeze my Wed-Thur between my current addiction, “My Ajusshi” and upcoming “Suits” and coming soon will have “Lawless Lawyer” occupying my weekend and yelp, I would be saturated with legal theme drama but how can I missed out Hyung Sik and Lee Jun Ki?

  2. I am looking forward to this. Suits is an ensemble drama and about the bromance of Harvey and Mike. The cases are only secondary, so I assume adapting should be easy.

  3. Okay Im going to have a stab at watching Suits for Park Hyung Sik first and foremost. I’ve never seen the US version so am going in blind. If I can get past the first episode I’ll be watching till the end. If not I’ll go back and watch reruns of him in Hwarang and What happens to my family. ❤️

      • They had to make Sammaekjong a bit cowardly in order to serve Park Seo Joon’s character’s arc. The writer didn’t really do a good job.

      • What happened to V from BTS and Hyung Sik’s character along with Go Ara’s incessant crying and the writing in general for Hwarang- yep my sentiments exactly. I’ll just fast forward though. Geez what a waste of a great cast though.
