Bevy of K-stars to Enlist on March 31st Including Jaejoong, Choi Jin Hyuk, and Maybe Kim Hyun Joong
So long, farewell, see you guys in less than two years time! March 31, 2015 is turning out to be Enlistment Tuesday, so to speak. I already posted about the tears to come for the Cassies as the end of March rolls around and Jaejoong becomes the first of the DBSK five to depart for military service. Jae is not the only one donning fatigues, boarding the train to training camp along with Jaejoong will be Choi Jin Hyuk, who probably wishes he already did his military service years ago before he debuted since he hit his stardom stride much later in his acting career. On the music side, Sungmin and Shindong of Super Junior will also be enlisting, which is likely less worrisome to fans since neither are super popular SJ members, plus plenty of SJ oppas have already served and discharged already.
There is one additional month end enlistment notice that may or not not be complied with – scandal-plagued singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong also received a enlistment notice for March 31st but his agency revealed the star is still considering whether to ask for a deferral due to his current personal situation, namely that he is going to be a baby daddy this summer with his ex-girlfriend. If I were Kim Hyun Joong’s adviser or family member I would push him to just enlist and use his time off during service to slowly work through his future co-parenting with his ex-girlfriend. The baby is going to come regardless of whether he’s around or not and some things take time to really sort through. None of the guys slated to enlist at the end of this month are super faves of mine so this will be one of those less sad enlistment send-offs.
There was rumors about producer being KSH last project before enlisting? but thats not true cause he just signed 1 year contract with jeju air and likely replacing LMH who also replaced him in samsonite red with 1 year contract
I heard it too. But LMH is one year older than him. So both of them will enlist last this year or early next year. Maybe let imagine LMH and KSH will enlist together. So I think LJS and KWB will get the chances to replace them for two years.
Its not sure that they will enlist next year. since the Premier minister awards they have become hallyu representatives of the blue house itself and putting them behind bars in the military will not benefit the hallyu status thats ever growing under these 2. China wouldn’t even be happy about them enlisting since they have both of them on 40+ endorsement deals together. China kinda owns there brands and has it under contract.
Everyone will enlist haven’t you learned from set7.
I really doubt it. He’s got about 2 more years before he has to go really. Most of these going now are 86ers and the very last of the 85ers. The 87ers will be leaving this year. He’s a year younger. Though the more famous you are the more pressure you have to go, so he might end up going next year.
KSH got the better deal but both companies are huge. jeju air is more ambitious with there actors. LMH’s face was flying in the air on all Jeju airplanes last and now KSH’s face will go for a ride in the air and touch the clouds.
Samsonite red is global company and huge but I wouldn’t have changed Jeju air for samsonite red. just saying Jeju air is the real deal in marketing.
I think next year’s gonna be the saddest for a lot of fans (including me) because a lot of the current fave flower boys are off to enlist.
In this list, I’m gonna be sad about Choi Jin-hyuk the most. Although the dramas I liked him the most are those that a lot of viewers didn’t like (EC, P&P). Hope to see him in a romcom when he comes back.
Super Junior will likely be inactive for a few years cause the members are taking turns to enlist. Kim Hyun Joong should enlist to wait for his scandals to cool down. But I am going to miss Jaejoong. Too bad his last drama Spy didn’t do well. Luckily Song Joong Ki is discharging soon.
This enlisting news don’t make me sad but when 2015 is over, many actors will be enlisting so that’s not a good news even though there are rising stars like Kim WooBin, Lee JongSuk, etc. Good thing is that Song Jong Ki will discharge soon and hoping to see Yoo SeungHo back to small screen again.
I just like the helpful info you supply to your articles.
I will bookmark your blog and take a look at once more here frequently.
I am relatively certain I’ll be informed many new stuff right right here!
Best of luck for the next!
Not gonna miss anyone lol, this batch of guys who are going to enlist are all meh for me so…but i wish good and speedy service for them.
Will miss Choi Jin Hyuk. Where on earth am I going to find another actor with such a mesmerizing voice!
Watch byun yohan from misaeng become the new it boy as all this stars enlist, thank god he had a huge sense to enlist early in his career , because he is rising so fast. Already got a lead role and the amount of female stars on the drama damn. After his first drama he already has a leading role, shows you big things are coming his way
