Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin to Become Lovers in New MBC Romance Sageuk Drama
I hope this drama gets a new name and STAT but otherwise it sounds right up my alley. K-ent is reporting that Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin will be coupling up for a MBC sageuk drama titled Lovers. Not to be confused by the late aughts modern drama of the same name, this drama tells of a Joseon era man who has failed in marriage twice and vows never to love again who crosses paths with a woman dreaming of her soulmate. The only way this cheesy sounding opposites attract romance drama would work is that Namgoong Min doing a romance drama is a can’t be missed rarity these days. He would be reuniting with the PD of The Veil (Black Sun) with the script from the writer of Rebel: The Thief Who Stole the People. I’m ready for him to steal hearts here for sure.

I wonder how Joseon society divorced (failed means divorced right? or dead spouse counts as failed marriage?), is it the same as medieval china? They followed Confucius right? Should be more or less same. So how did he divorce twice?? It was not easy at that time.
I’m guessing he’s either a widower or failing twice at marriage means broken engagements… they did not divorce back then.
GAH! I am so in love with this pairing. I will be awaiting this drama eagerly.
