Wonderland of Love with Jing Tian and Xu Kai Release Pretty New Posters Ahead of Rumored Early November 2023 Release
While this period C-drama isn’t as buzzy as a few others on the soon-to-air watch list it’s certainly doing its part in keeping interest primed with the promos released so far. Reportedly Tencent will release Wonderland of Love in early November, the 8th to be precise based on the latest insider rumors. It’s a straight wuxia drama starring Jing Tian and Xu Kai and the latest poster above is so filled with warm intensity I didn’t expect these two to give off such vibes. Xu Kai is one of those pretty boy C-drama leads that I love watching when there are low stakes, with zero expectation his dramas are good for FF time filling.
My take on Xu Kai is similar. He’s handsome and all but he can’t carry a drama. He works better when he’s paired up with a good actress who can lead him.
LOL… And it doesn’t help that in his recent other dramas, his scenes and on-screen presence are shortened due to a certain MANAGER behind the scenes. Ugh

FINALLY !!! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR MONTHS. Please give me a proper military romance I beg you. We don’t want the same Court Lady treatment Xu Kai’s character growth arc recieved.
I also adore Jingtian. Her other drama this year. The Legend of Zhouhua, was ok but an utter snoozefest at some parts.
They have the same look, big eyes, nose…they could look like siblings.
Another flop about to happen. Xu Kai isn’t a leading man. He should have concentrated on groups with strong actors, much like it was in yunxi. He shone there.
From what I understand, this has nothing to do with Xu Kai not being “lead male” material. His choices in dramas have just been terribad lately. And yet they all still did relatively well.
In this particular case, I’m looking forward to Wonderland Of Love because his and Jing Tian’s chemistry is insane so far.
