“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” No I’m not alleging producer Yu Zheng copied Pride and Prejudice, and even Little Women, but he definitely has assembled the premise of a mom in olden times trying to marry off her daughters. In this case there are five of them hence the title of upcoming C-drama Perfect Match in Chinese is 五福临门 which means five blessings descending upon the residence. It’s going to be a 2025 aired drama but the first sneak peeks are here and it’s just looks cutesy and darling, a bit twee if you ask me. The main leads are Wang Xing Yue with Lu Yu Xiao, and the other couples will be Wu Xuan Xi paired with Huang Sheng Chi, Ke Ying with Liang Yong Qi, Liu Xie Ning toegther with Chen He Yi, and the youngest couple is Huang Yang Tian Tian with Dong Si Cheng. The entire cast is like mashing together stars from My Journey to You, The Double, The Princess Royal, and Till the End of the Moon haha.
That is a lot of couples. Hopefully the story is well balanced and does not drown out the main characters too much.

I will be checking this out for WXY. Despite what a troll Yu Zheng is, he does occasionally make good dramas. I remember Ke Ying from A Familiar Stranger, surprised but nice to see her here! If Li Fei ever graces my screen as a lead in a long drama, I might be even happier!
It does sound a bit too twee for me. But I want to check it out for WXY…eh…I’m torn.
