Modern Thriller Romance C-drama Love’s Ambition with Zhao Lu Si and William Chan Now Set for Early July 2025 Release with New Posters and Preview
There is a lot of chatter and speculation around modern C-drama Love’s Ambition. It was rumored to be released by Tencent in late June but now will move into early July. The drama stars Zhao Lu Si and William Chan and is a psychological thriller and romance, from all the previews and teasers is appears the two leads get married thinking each is getting the upper hand only to find the other knows and then it becomes a battle of the wills and wits. It’s getting buzz but insiders are saying that the previews are not doing enough to showcase the fundamental story other than tense cross cuts and it may end up unable to capture viewer interest for the longer run. This is Zhao Lu Si’s last full filmed drama in the vault and it’s not helping that William Chan albeit being a well-known name and star isn’t the current It Boy in C-ent to bring in any of his own fandom strength to help the drama. This type of cat-and-mouse game romance isn’t normally my go-to drama but for Zhao Lu Si I will watch and hope it’s addicting and good.

I love cat and mouse themes in my stories. That’s why The Double remains my top favorite rewatch. I’m very interested in this drama and hope it is as intriguing as its previews.
I think Lusi’s massive fandom would be more than enough to generate the buzz so I don’t think there’s any pressure from the ML side. It’s good that the release has been moved as there seems to be a lot of new dramas the last week or so.
Normally I hardly like this kind of themes in dramas BUT when I watched trailer I liked it a lot more than I thought l would!
IF drama manage to stay on that tune whole time it would be amazing watch for me. I will definitely binge it though I cant imagine watching this kind of story by each episode with long waits in between…
Well, it looks more romance than physiological thriller from the trailer, but I’m interested as I like both leads.
I have soft spot for William Chan ever since Mystic Nine years ago (and he is doing Season 2!).
ZLS seems to be putting on a fashion show in this drama, anyway I like her and hope this goes well for her.
Mouse cat drama?, maybe should review about revenge love too since it so popular worldwide

Lusi’s fans are the only ones trying to push it, which is of cause normal for fans but it isn’t breaking past their circle.
