Netflix Releases Second Long Preview for Romance K-drama Can This Love be Translated with Kim Sun Ho and Go Yoon Jung
Okay, I am so sat for this K-drama! Next week on January 16th is the premiere of Netflix K-drama Can This Love be Translated, starring Kim Sun Ho and Go Yoon Jung in a project that was announced two years ago so it’s been on my radar since. She’s a top actress filming what appears to be a cross-boarder romance variety and travelogue show with Japanese actor Fukushi Sota, while he’s the multilingual translator that translates for her. It’s described as a romance between two people with very different understanding of what love means and that barrier is just as wide as a language gap. I’ve been really enjoying the previews thus far, it doesn’t give too much away in big moments and Hong Sisters dramas always have big romance beats plus the visuals and aura of the two leads are totally my jam.
Second preview for Can This Love be Translated:

I’m looking forward to this one too!
The Hong Sisters hasn’t had a hit in the normal romcom genre in a long while. Last I could remember would be 2009’s You Are Beautiful and 2011’s The Greatest Love. Every hit after that was fantasy or ghost related: Master’s Sun, Hotel del(a) Luna, Alchemy of Souls.
Maybe this will turn the tide back?
Fukushi Sota is not really a good actor but he still able to get a big projects.
Not a fan of either lead, not the one for rom-com either. But Hong Sisters have written two of my all time favs: Master’s Sun and Alchemy of Souls. I’ll check this out.
The first teaser was kinda meh for me (it looked like a plot-less show like Emily In Paris), but this second one is much better. Hopefully it’s a cute and fun watch, and the languages are spoken/translated well lol.
As a fan of the HongSis, I can always tell when their project/premise gonna be failure either rating wise or by follower(commotion)…This drama hasn’t give me that vibe. So I guess it’s a good sign.
