The only two characters and stars to emerge unscathed from the hot mess that is Lost You Forever Part 2 has to be Yang Zi and Tan Jian Ci and their characters of Xiao Yao and Xiang Liu. The entire Part 2 run was ruinous for me in terms of adapting the second half of the LYF novel but at … Continue reading →
HK-star Stephen Chow has stopped acting for the last two decades but has become a successful and noted director with a string of hits under his belt. His Shaolin Soccer was one of the biggest box office Asian movies of all time and now will get a sequel or follow up with an all-female soccer cast. It’s a huge deal … Continue reading →
Producer Yu Zheng has been hyping up Lin Jiang Xian (formerly There is a Fox in Hengmen) for months now and I’m not allergic to his dramas on principle but other than The Double I really haven’t seen anything that made me want to watch and this one falls into that latter category as well. The character posters released earlier … Continue reading →
Sometimes when there is a scandal a celeb gets a nickname that is hard to shake even if the scandal blows over. I hope Byun Woo Seok doesn’t get saddled with one that is catchy for this past week’s private security at the airport overstepping their bounds and imposing on other travelers. The matter is still percolating in South Korea … Continue reading →
So C-actor Wu Lei has been veeeeeery picky with his projects, beyond wanting to do more movies rather than dramas, he’d rather enjoy life and all his hobbies than work nonstop. For a child actor turned successful adult actor, this balance is really good for his mental wellbeing but not clear if it’s going to keep him from leveling up … Continue reading →
Well this is not the smartest move if you ask me, but again C-actress Tang Yan‘s fandom hasn’t been known to be the savviest. Her long ago filmed period C-drama A Moment But Forever with Liu Xue Yi is reportedly airing soon, this summer so likely next month in August or early September. Her fandom announced this week that it … Continue reading →
On the same week a software update caused global travel chaos, this news feels like a blip but for us K-drama watchers it’s rather concerning. Cable network tvN and its streaming arm TVING announced this weekend that it has been hacked, the network name was changed to Ripple and the content is a mess on the platforms. Videos of recent … Continue reading →
So the viewers of Lost You Forever Part 1 who fell in love with Xiang Liu played by Tan Jian Ci are only going to love him even more in Part 2, and it’s already happening. Within a week of LYF2 airing, Tan Jian Ci is just behind Yang Zi in the hot buzz chart and reportedly the highest buzz … Continue reading →
I feel like the wait for Serendipity’s Embrace (Korean title Is It Coincidence) has been as long as the two lead’s second chance romance in the drama. The promos started in late May and we’re not two months later but thankfully the drama arrives in mere days on July 22nd. Leads Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeob are featured … Continue reading →
There is a new K-drama on a quick rise to popularity and it’s one I initially didn’t have much interest in but whenever I hear something is legit good it’s always worth checking out. SBS premiered Good Partner with Jang Nara and Nam Ji Hyun last week and since then the drama has increased in ratings and got past the … Continue reading →
Right after news broke that director Guo Jing Ming had two more C-dramas in preps now that he was finished with Fangs of Fortune, both starring his protege Tian Jia Rui, now comes the female lead in the first one. The drama is titled Ran Shuang Wei Zhou (燃霜为昼) and the female lead will be Gulinazha. Excuse me while I … Continue reading →
I like how the first teaser for upcoming tvN drama Love Next Door shows the leads just growing up together in a very lowkey way. Jung Hae In and Jung So Min are coming to the small screen next month on August 17th and we should all be so grateful to have a rom-com on the way especially when there … Continue reading →
Hahaha, omg are Dilraba Dilmurat fans bored or simply trolling here. Because there is no way this is even worthy of a discussion because the answer is so one-sided. This week the fandom of Dilraba and Ju Jing Yi have been waging an online war of words battle over which one is the top actress, and by top it means … Continue reading →
