Woah, this is big potential K-drama casting news and a positive possibility for me. Song Hye Kyo and Joo Ji Hoon are reportedly offered the leads in year end KBS drama Hyena, not to be confused with the same name K-drama from 2006. This Hyena has the two leads playing legal professionals and ones that revolve around them trying to … Continue reading →

Late last year I posted about cutie pie former drama costars Puff Guo and Jasper Liu (Liu Yi Hao) reuniting for a new TW-drama 5 years after doing the adorable cooking themed Love Myself or You. Their new drama premieres this week and ohlalala is it a 180 degree turnaround from the sweet and innocent prior collaboration. It’s called Before … Continue reading →
If tvN sageuk Arthdal Chronicles ends up being a bust at least the cast and crew is already set for season 2 and 3 with the drama being split into 3-parts including a simulcast on Netflix. As lame and kinda dorky the posters and previews looked, I can’t imagine it’s a full on dud what with the star power and … Continue reading →
Like, this is the least surprising new revelation in the Burning Sun and Seungri scandal now going on three months. Seungri is a member of Big Bang which is under YG Entertainment management, but if you believe the lone wolf explanation from YG’s side it was Seungri acting all alone for years and years being a pimp and courting investors … Continue reading →
This is a small fry scandal compared to the last two months of serious misconduct and criminal allegations roiling K-ent, but still worth reporting. Established actor Joo Sang Wook and actress Han Chae Young are reportedly required to pay a hefty sum of back taxes after being investigated by the government. This was a widespread investigation beyond of celebrities but … Continue reading →
I’m not a huge boho style girl but seeing K-actress Jung So Min rocking the frocks in the upcoming June issue of Grazia Korea makes me wanna give it a go. She’s not too prairie dainty or Coachella sprite, managing to pull off dresses and skirts that look comfortable and feminine without being too trendy. She was recently in drama … Continue reading →
Consider me pleasantly surprised and curious about upcoming cable network Channel A drama Love Affairs in the Afternoon. The literal title is translated as Weekday at 3PM Lover and is the remake of the same name J-dorama. It’s pretty illicit and steamy based on the story synopsis alone, a housewife and biology teacher start an adulterous affair living in the … Continue reading →
I thought C-actress Liu Tao was just super on point at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival but girl was packing heat for the entire soiree and then some with much aforethought. With Fan Bing Bing out for the count due to her high profile tax evasion scandal, the top C-actress mantle was open for the taking and even if the … Continue reading →
There’s a happy-ish ending to report on the weekend shocking news from K-ent that former KARA member Goo Hara was found to have attempted suicide. Netizens were alarmed when she posted “Annyeong” a hello/goodbye single word message on her Instagram account. Shortly after her manager went to check on her and found her unconscious inside her apartment. She was rushed … Continue reading →
Aside from my love for male lead Song Joong Ki, I’m totally rooting for the baddies on the character poster visuals alone in upcoming tvN drama Arthdal Chronicles. In this day and age, when anti-heroes are given their own origin stories and headlining, it’s hard not to snigger at the innocent and wholesome types trying to win. I blame the … Continue reading →
There are some actors and actresses who may not be famous by name but are famous by face. That’s the hallmark of a successful character actor who completes any drama or movie by bringing to life a crucial supporting role. K-actor Kang Ki Young has been one of the most successful character actors currently working in K-dramas for the young … Continue reading →
Wow, what an supreme honor for talented director Bong Joon Ho for himself and to bring to South Korea. His latest movie Parasite premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival last week to a 7-minute long standing ovation and rapturous early reviews. All that praise for the family and class-warfare subversive thriller movie starring Song Kang Ho, Choi Woo Shik, … Continue reading →
