The C-ent and TW-ent baby watch of 2019 continues: starting with Ivy Chen delivering a baby last month, Nicky Wu and Liu Shi Shi expecting at the end of Spring, Yuan Hong and Zhang Xinyi welcoming a baby boy a few weeks ago, followed by Ady An announcing her pregnancy with first child, and now acknowledge goddess level actress Gao … Continue reading →
The South Korean public is hopping mad and one good thing to come out of this current Seungri into Jung Joon Young criminal probe is that two formerly swept-under-the-rug cases are being re-examined. South Korean President Moon Jae In has issued a decree to fully re-investigate the Jang Ja Yeon case and the former Vice-Minister Kim Hak Ui matter. Jang … Continue reading →
The fallout for Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Jun Ho stemming from texts taken from their former 1N2D costar singer Jung Joon Young appears suitable for the infraction in question. Both stars have taken a leave from all their entertainment programs and issued sincere apologies, but also explaining that the gambling in question didn’t take place in Thailand, was a … Continue reading →
Apparently disgraced and likely criminally culpable K-singer Jung Joon Young had over 200,000 texts on his phone and had multiple phones, so the fallout will likely spread from the police investigation and retrieval of his communications. The next to fall is his 1N2D (1 Night, 2 Day) cast members actor Cha Tae Hyun and comedian Kim Jun Ho. Jung Joon Young’s … Continue reading →
We’re probably close to one more K-pop idol leaving his group and “retiring” from the industry. CNBLUE‘s Lee Jong Hyun has admitted that he, too, viewed the hidden camera sex videos circulated by singer Jung Joon Young, and also that the horrible texts between the two discussing women as sex objects to be passed around were indeed from him. So … Continue reading →
Man, yet another singer/group I gotta delete off my playlist. In the last few years I’ve had to delete SS501, original DBSK, JYJ, and from this scandal Big Bang followed by FT Island, BEAST/Highlight, and now CNBLUE as well. Y’all can keep on listening and/or supporting oppa but goodness these text messages and crimes under investigation are vomit inducing levels … Continue reading →
On one hand I am pleased he came clean but on the other hand oooof this one hurts because I really liked him and now he’s cancelled in my mind. Former Beast and now Highlight member Yong Jun Hyung, who I came across thanks to the K-drama Monstar years ago, was initially swept up in the Seungri/Jung Joon Young chatroom … Continue reading →
The Seungri scandal is like the horrible reverse of the gift that keeps on giving, or more aptly the pandora’s box that should be opened for the greater good of K-ent housecleaning but HOMG is it stomach roiling to read about. The latest bad acts stemming from Seungri’s noxious chatroom members Jung Joon Young and Choi Jung Hoon of FT … Continue reading →
I still can’t believe I’m typing out 30 with respect to C-actress Liu Shi Shi because I first saw her in 2008 getting her first big break as the second female lead in the 2006 adaptation of Legend of the Condor Heroes. She filmed that drama when she was just 19 years old and here she is in 2019 turning … Continue reading →
The wheels came off the oppa train for K-idol Seungri and it’s been awhile since I saw the media swarming a disgraced K-star picture like these. Big Bang‘s maknae member Seungri finds himself in genuine legal trouble to start off the week as police in South Korea have officially named him as a suspect in their investigation into allegations that … Continue reading →
See, I always think it’s hard to run into famous people and apparently it’s hard for famous people as well to run into other famous people. Top Japan star Kimura Takuya posted on his SNS a picture with him next to HK superstar Tony Leung, with him looking I would if I ran into Tony Leung. The two stars actually … Continue reading →
A good reputation is takes long to build up and can slip away easily as evidenced by the unending scandals in K-ent even in the mere decade I’ve been following along. Renowned polite and well-mannered young actor Kim Soo Hyun and idol-actor Taecyeon are both currently serving their military service and must be doing a great job because both got … Continue reading →
Consider me surprised and impressed that a poll conducted recently landed an actor currently in military service on the top of the list. South Korean government recently polled 16 overseas country viewers interested in Hallyu on their favorites in the categories of stars, idols, dramas, and movies. Lee Min Ho was the number 1 pick in the stars category followed … Continue reading →
