I hate to say the upcoming MBC drama Triangle is male-lead centric, but it’s looking more and more like that considering all three male leads Lee Bum Soo as the eldest brother, Jaejoong as the middle brother, and Im Shi Wan as the baby brother have all had official drama stills released. Perhaps male-centric might be playing up the gender … Continue reading →
First off, I love this first drama poster for You’re All Surrounded. It’s not groundbreaking but does two things right – (1) the color is lovely and everyone looks alive as opposed to the recent penchant for dark gritty everyone looks like a vampire stuff, and (2) it manages to stick the entire main cast in (and not just the … Continue reading →
There is such undeniable quiet beauty in this drama rendering it such a joy to watch. But paired with a story where characters engage in behavior that isn’t acceptable in society increases the difficulty for me to write about it. It’s shallowly dismissive to say that watching Secret Love Affair equals condoning adultery or not watching it means having high … Continue reading →
Long time CF collaborators and former Dream High co-stars Kim Soo Hyun and Suzy continue with their coupling up for sportswear brand Bean Pole and the latest CF stills and video leave me rather befuddled. I love them together and have enjoyed all their previous Bean Pole collaborations which have been fun and flirty and great location porn as the … Continue reading →
All I have to say about the upcoming SBS drama Dr. Stranger is that it feels rather haphazard and whiplashy in terms of the sudden transitions between moods. The second video preview is out and this one features only Lee Jong Seok and Jin Se Yeon. In the drama, Jin Se Yeon plays two characters – the first is Lee … Continue reading →
Hhhhhmmmm, Cha Seung Won in a perfectly tailored classic tux. Delicious and nutritious for my eyes. The first official character stills are out for Cha Seung Won’s character in the upcoming cop drama You’re All Surrounded. While I will never say no to Cha Seung Won all cleaned up in a tux, because very few Korean actors have his perfectly … Continue reading →
There are two C-dramas scheduled for airing towards the end of April and I’m interested in both just to stack the odds that if one sucks I still have another shot at striking a watchable one. The more high profile is Bu Bu Jing Qing, the modern day sequel to the Qing dynasty period drama Bu Bu Jing Xin. BBJX … Continue reading →
Drama casting is never over until the proverbial fat lady sings and confirmations ring out, so the rumored casting of Park Shin Hye in the Lee Jun Ki upcoming period drama Joseon Gunman is no more. I adore her but she’s still you and I’m sure she’ll get a chance to work with Jun Ki somewhere down the line. The … Continue reading →
I think it ironic that in Lost You Forever Xiao Yao has three amazing leading man in her life but really none of the three comes equipped with everything she wants in her life. At most we can say one has more than the others, or really it comes down to what she prioritizes first. Xiao Yao keeps saying that … Continue reading →
I wonder if anytime I mention a favorite actor or actress of mine that has been on the down low for a bit of time then he or she would suddenly reappear like magic. I was chatting with drama dongsaengs last week when talk turned to Moon Geun Young and how she’s been completely and totally MIA since she got … Continue reading →
When I saw the first set of official drama stills featuring the second leads of Dr. Stranger together in a scene, my immediate reaction was “Can I have these two in their own drama?” I actually find Dr. Stranger oddly appealing despite my Lee Jong Seok allergy. I think it comes from him acting older rather than younger like he … Continue reading →
I kinda get this feeling that there are two disparate audience camps for the upcoming MBC drama Triangle. Or maybe three camps, the last of which is the “Thank god crazy and interminable Empress Ki is finally over!” faction which deserves a medal for surviving the EK fiasco – pssst, there was even a marital rape in the last episode … Continue reading →
Lee Seung Gi + white dress shirt + gun holster? Slay me dead with just a picture, why dont’cha You’re All Surrounded? That’s not a great idea since a dead me is unable to spazz and recap this drama so I suggest you send Seung Gi over to give CPR to noona here. He does know CPR right? Since he … Continue reading →
