Two upcoming K-dramas started filming recently and I’ve decided to lump them in the same post because my excitement over both is pretty much at the same level. Excited but cautiously optimistic. Fans of stars in either drama needn’t fret I’ll split the love, the SBS drama You From Another Star airs on Wed-Thurs after Heirs, while the KBS drama Prime … Continue reading →
Since news broke of recent drama co-stars Kim Bum and Moon Geun Young diving into a real life relationship and off on an European vacation, there seems to be an APB (or AKB All Koala Bulletin) put out on them. Dispatch delivered the first very grainy pictures of two people that purported to be GeunBum, but one was of their … Continue reading →
Episode 7 of Marry Him if You Dare (Mirae’s Choice) succeeded in opening up a whole new can of worms. There is no end to future Mi Rae’s meddling, and when it appears present Mi Rae isn’t going to follow her game plan, she turns her machinations on Yoo Kyung and Shin. This drama has turned out to be much … Continue reading →
Of the three major Korean networks, this year SBS definitely has its act together better than the other two. It’s got successful and talked-about dramas under its belt like That Winter, The Wind Blows, I Hear Your Voice, and The Master’s Sun, but when I say its got its act together I’m more talking about planning and scheduling. KBS recently … Continue reading →
It’s Monday so that means another highly anticipated episode of Marry Him If You Dare (Mirae’s Choice). With the way the narrative is unfolding, the English title might be more apropos as Pick the Other One If You Dare. I actually don’t have a problem if Mi Rae accepts Se Joo’s confessions in a misguided attempt to do as future … Continue reading →
It’s a rare occasion that a drama shipping couple becomes a reality, much less the pairing consists of two actors I love, so forgive me if I keep spazzing over them for the foreseeable future. I’ll preface it all by saying I don’t care if they get married or break up down the road, the relationship is theirs to see … Continue reading →
Heirs, you mostly suck and you know it. But I can’t quit you, I just can’t seem to quit you. Maybe its those dang exciting previews at the end of each episode, which folks have rightly pointed out seem to be the highlight of every episode, because what goes on before and after it is just a whole lotta nothing. … Continue reading →
Warning. Do not click on this post and watch this MV unless you have tissues ready and don’t have an appointment tomorrow. In all my years of drama watching, the time-travel C-drama Bu Bu Jing Xin (Startling with Each Step) adapted from the same name novel by writer Tong Hua is easily one of the most tear-inducing watch experiences I’ve … Continue reading →
The second female lead is hands down the worst written of the four leads in most K-dramas. Awesome second male leads are a dime a dozen, endearing second female leads is like Santa spotting Rudolf in a pack of reindeer. Han Chae Ah has made a nice career out of playing second female leads that aren’t totally awful and even … Continue reading →
Right on cue, Korean youth sportswear brand Beanpole released the next batch of Kim Soo Hyun and Suzy spokescouple pictures, this time prepping everyone for the coming Winter ahead. I’m so over Summer and even the hot Indian Summer, I’m thiseclose to leap frogging over Fall and burrowing into warm clothes for the Winter. It’s been a busy year for … Continue reading →
Attention drama fans in Europe, or maybe let’s start with the Eastern Europe contingent first. As the precursor to the fast breaking rumor that Moon Geun Young and Kim Bum are dating to the even faster confirmations from both their agencies (methinks GeunBum left strict instructions to come clean because Namoo Actors responded within 5 minutes of the news breaking), … Continue reading →
I haven’t talked specifically about Kang Min Hyuk of CNBlue in the currently airing drama Heirs/The Inheritors in awhile. Blame it on a combination of getting lost in the overrun cast as well as being so sane and awesome of a character there is nothing to discuss in the thoughts section of a recap. Let’s rectify it with a Min … Continue reading →
Moon Geun Young and Kim Bum are dating. It’s official. Yes, I saw everyone pinging me and commenting to tell me about it. Can I let the cat out of the bag now? Why I am not spazzing uncontrollably making inhuman squeeing noises of glee is for one reason only – I got wind of this last week after the … Continue reading →
