So this genre has been done before but when done right can be so much fun. It’s the do-over genre or the meta story-within-a-story genre whereby one or even both leads know the outcome but want to change it. A Dream Within a Dream with Li Yi Tong and Liu Yu Ning just released new drama posters and the first … Continue reading →

There was a slight blip in C-actress Tang Yan‘s meteoric second act rise this year when she didn’t win a major Best Actress award that she was the front runner for but she’s not letting it harsh her glow. So count me in on someone who liked seeing two same gen actresses collaborating rather than being rivals, but I also did sense it’s not all sunshine and roses behind-the-scenes. Last month Miu Miu did a Bazaar magazine spread featuring Liu Hao Cun and Zhao Jin Mai as both as brand ambassadors. It was super cute for me and I … Continue reading →
Big news on big budget period C-drama Flourished Peony with Yang Zi and Li Xian and I’m of mixed thoughts on it. Now comes Typhoon Company which is in talks with Junho as the lead and is likely a done deal. Junho … Continue reading →
I love C-actor Xu Kai despite his myriad limitations as an actor, he’s always watchable for me and I think he’s super derpy in real life and love that contrast. He’s contract with his long time agency run by Yu Zheng is coming to an end this year and reportedly he will renew, which was not always guaranteed as stars … Continue reading →
