The final chapter of Yun Zhong Ge is often written as both chapter 59 (or chapter 21 in Volume 3), but also as an epilogue. I think its better referred to as an epilogue, as the real ending for the novel came in the previous chapter with Liu Xun returning to the tree where a group of young and carefree … Continue reading →
Not all dramas are created equal, but some dramas are more equal than others. Got that? Don’t make me slap you upside the head with a big stick of Orwellian allegory. Heh, just having a bit of fun because I’m in a cheeky mood. As I’ve been swept up into a fervent appreciation and affection for The King 2 Hearts, … Continue reading →
After filming for a month and a half on the upcoming TW/C drama Turn Around Fall in Love (formerly called Return to the Past), a steady stream of BTS stills have trickled out showing leads Choi Si Won, Yuan Hong, Wang Luo Dan, and Jessie Chiang looking fantastic in character. This is not a time-traveling drama, per se, but Wang Luo Dan’s … Continue reading →
So fantastic and adorable and brilliantly conceived! Those are all the accolades I’ll toss out for the first teaser of I Need Romance 2. It doesn’t reveal a lick of plot, but instead pays homage to some of the little bits of girl power and romance movies in the last few decades. I caught a snippet to Coyote Ugly, a … Continue reading →
Woah momma. If episode 18 of The King 2 Hearts is any indication of how the drama doesn’t intend to slow down and is going to keep tying my guts into knot after knot, then I suggest we all invest in some anti-anxiety medicine before next week’s finale. While my logic tells me Hang Ah and Jae Ha are never … Continue reading →
It looks like Kim Sun Ah‘s I Do I Do might just become an I Don’t I Don’t for me. No, I’m not trying to be the first person to use that clearly lame pun, I genuinely was bowled over by how BAD the first teaser for the drama was. Terrible music, uninteresting interactions, and ridiculousness all over the place. … Continue reading →
Before I watched Office Girls, I was one of the many Roy Qiu fans all aflutter that his upcoming leading lady Alice Ke seemed……bland. If he was a five course meal, I worried she’d be like white toast. But then OG started, and against all my preconceived notions of Alice as Ethan Ruan‘s forgettable dead girlfriend in My Queen, she … Continue reading →
The King 2 Hearts continues to throw me for a loop even as we’re nearing the end of the drama. I doubt anyone suspected what Jae Shin was locking away in her memory, which only confirms further that Bong Goo is one sick mofo. At times ludicrous, when necessary diabolical, he has it out for the South Korean royal family … Continue reading →
I’m flailing, help me! Episode 17 of The King 2 Hearts was SO DAMN GOOD, but then episode 18 looks to top that, and then some. What did I say about this drama going out with both guns firing and a blaze of glory? Lee Yoon Ji and Jo Jung Seok owned episode 17, their acting hitting new heights the … Continue reading →
Am I setting myself up for inevitable disappointment by being THIS interested in Big before even seeing the first trailer for this sucker? Probably, especially considering the Hong Sisters tendency for second-half flame-outs in their dramas. Nevertheless, I can’t control my squealing over every new still from this drama, and this is even before I get my first glimpse of … Continue reading →
Even if you are not reading Yun Zhong Ge along with me, I recommend reading this one post and feeling the love wash over you. It’s the ending to one of the most beautiful love stories I’ve ever read. I think my brain tells me to drop YZG, because its just too long, and the emotional toil towards the end … Continue reading →
So I discovered I was still in the mood to translate Yun Zhong Ge, but not exactly in linear fashion. I can’t help it, there are some random chapters that are just screaming for me to translate it, so I’ll do just that. You all read if you want to. This is actually the second-to-last chapter of the book. I’m … Continue reading →
I know 99% of the people checking out Time Slip Dr. Jin is there for one of the three main male leads Song Seung Heon, Lee Bum Soo, and Jaejoong. But I’d be remiss not to mention the ladies Park Min Young and Lee So Yeon, both of whom have done sageuks before and actually are decent in them. I … Continue reading →
