So I knew about Liu Shi Shi and Ming Dao filming Happiness of an Angel late last year, a modern C-drama where he plays a doctor and she’s a single mom with a young daughter. They filmed the drama on Hainan Island, which is very picturesque, so I saw lots of stills with beach scenes and a pretty looking bed … Continue reading →
I feel like I can’t turn around without tripping over a new K-drama waiting to premiere. I can count 8 new dramas waiting to drop on my lap, and at which point I’m sure I’ll drop most of them like a hot potato. I’m pretty content if even one of them turns out awesome. I’m not completely writing off Ghost … Continue reading →
The previews for episode 17 look sooooo good. I tell myself not to be overeager, to ration The King 2 Hearts so that I can keep this drama with me longer. But I know all good things must come to an end, and I foresee the final four episodes to tie this drama all together and give us a thoroughly … Continue reading →
Sharing is caring, and when I came across an old pictorial of Lee Seung Gi from the March 2011 edition of Elle Magazine Korea, I knew I had to promptly splash it all over the playground. I thought Seung Gi turned from baby boy into a man when he took on The King 2 Hearts, but these pictures prove I … Continue reading →
The miracle of casting really echoes how dramas are a visual medium and how the actors look does affect how I react to it. While I love Tong Hua‘s Da Mo Yao the novel and loathe her Secrets Hidden in Time, when it comes to the drama-adaptations of both, I’ve flip-flopped my interest because I dislike the casting of the former while … Continue reading →
Hhhhmm, I never thought the picture of four men going grocery shopping could get me this excited. But apparently A Gentleman’s Dignity knew something about my id that I didn’t even know. AGD released new stills that show Jang Dong Gun, Kim Min Jong, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Kim Soo Ro pushing shopping carts around a supermarket as well as … Continue reading →
It’s no secret I love The King 2 Hearts with all my heart, which perhaps explains why I’ve got no interest in starting other dramas until this baby ends. There are plenty I’m interested in, but the impetus to push play keeps eluding me despite queuing it up now and then. The spoilers have been nonexistent for next week’s episodes, … Continue reading →
FINALLY! After laying low for a few months racing cars, endorsing products, and maybe dating Tang Yan, word all over the TW-entertainment industry is that Roy Qiu is coming back with a TW-drama this Summer. Woo hoo! Of course its an SETTV drama, despite him having fulfilled his three project commitment to them (Woody Sambo, Easy Fortune Happy Life, and … Continue reading →
At this point, the Korean actors exodus over to making dramas in other parts of Asia should be considered a biblical flood. There are so many and all over the place I can barely keep track. Just as Yoon Si Yoon landed in China this week to start filming his Happy Noodle drama with Li Fei Er, I find out … Continue reading →
The first teaser trailer is out for Time Slip Dr. Jin. It’s too fast and short to get much out of it – a bit hokey, but not flat out dreadful (so far). I dunno what to think, I think it wants to be more Queen In Hyun’s Man but might end up more Rooftop Prince. I laughed so hard … Continue reading →
Putting aside the LOL-tastic press conference for Runway Cop starring Kang Ji Hwan and Sung Yuri, this movie still looks equal parts silly and adorable. I like having the man lose the weight and undergo a makeover for a change, plus once he turns into a male model physique-wise he’s still a dorky cop on the inside. I don’t have … Continue reading →
I’ve had Tong Hua’s letters to her two Yun Zhong Ge male leads translated and prepared for over 2 months now, but I’ve been reluctant to post because it gives away the ending of the novel. It gives away how most of the characters end up, though in truth it gives away very little at all since what makes YZG … Continue reading →
While its direct competition A Gentleman’s Dignity just released its first teaser trailer, it feels like Time Slip Dr. Jin just started filming. With less than three weeks left until its premiere, the drama about a modern day surgeon who time travels back to the late Joseon era to practice his craft in less ideal circumstances interests me only because I love Song Seung Heon and Lee … Continue reading →
