Super duper wuv! The second teaser trailer for Protect the Boss is out, and it’s just so energetic and interesting. I can honestly confess to wanting to watch this drama purely on the story alone, with none of the usual hooks roping me in, such as fangirling any of the actors or the genre being my bias. It’s so cool … Continue reading →
Why don’t K-dramas do this, reuniting OTP for cameo roles? I swear Mike He and Janine Chang are my drama OTP id come to life. A decade of TW-idol dramas, and my vote is on the Mike-Janine pairing as hands down the prettiest OTP ever going by looks alone. It’s a testament to their onscreen chemistry that I shipped Yun … Continue reading →
Two big things happened in this episode. The first is that Kang Woo finally smiled, and it was a big beatific smile. The second is that he did something really bad. This is surely going to be a controversial episode of Spy Myung Wol. Actually, let be me more specific, the ending scene of episode 6 will absolutely be controversial. … Continue reading →
I love this song! I love Rainie Yang! I love Rainie with Joseph Chang, even if it’s all for promotional purposes! Okay, that felt good to get the fangirl enthusiasm out of me first. Pre-sales for Rainie’s new album Longing For (which is also the name of the second single off the album) have been scorching hot, as hot as … Continue reading →
This was an curious episode of Drunken to Love You. I’m not quite sure what to make of it. I enjoyed it, but I feel like we’re just getting plot for the sake of plot at this point. I can’t complain, because it means we get to spend more time with Xiao Ru and Jie Xiu, and lord knows I’m … Continue reading →
What a star-studded cast for a movie. LOVE is Director Doze Niu‘s followup film to his blockbuster and critically-acclaimed Monga, and will be reuniting his two leads from Monga, Ethan Ruan and Mark Chao, plus adding Eddie Peng to the male cast. The boys attended a media event to announce the start of filming, and what’s funny is that you … Continue reading →
Finally I feel it. The slight uptick in story progression, pace, and cohesiveness in episode 5 of Spy Myung Wol was what I needed to keep my interest in this drama. I genuinely laughed a few times this episode, felt the faint stirrings of my heart for the OTP, and found myself actually interested in what’s coming down the road … Continue reading →
Just a reminder to ask me before copying and pasting any of my work, and always with proper credit please. Once again people tell me they see my stuff floating around without proper credits. As for Spy Myung Wol, I’m loving KBS’s written preview writer, who reveals enough to get our interest up, but not too much as to let … Continue reading →
Why did I use a picture of a scraggly unkempt dude holding a gerbil in a plastic ball for my recap for episode 6 of Material Queen? If you read the recap you’ll appreciate his uniqueness. We ought to first have a moment of silence for poor Elizabeth the Sixth, the innocent victim of corporate evildoers. The man holding Elizabeth … Continue reading →
I knew the preview at the end of episode 4 of Spy Myung Wol wasn’t the real deal. But it’s odd for a K-drama to show non-previews this early in its airing. I can’t believe SMW is already on a live-shoot system four episodes in. Which lends credence to the rumor that the production is scrambling to fix issues viewers … Continue reading →
It’s finally out. Dear drama gods – I love you and thank you. Seriously, I’m crying like a lost bunny right now as I listen to this song on repeat. This is my favorite song off the Lie to Me OST, because this song belongs only to Ki Joon and Ah Jung as it explains their love story. The last song … Continue reading →
I absolutely refuse to believe that this man-boy is 27 years old. Either he’s won the perpetual youth lottery, or I just need Song Joong Ki to do one certifiable romantic leading man role before my mind can transition him over. Oddly, he’s a good decade older than Yoo Seung Ho, but they could pass for fraternal twins of the … Continue reading →
Are you guys addicted to Black & White yet? This is just the tip of the iceburg, and each episode brings new twist and new revelations until your head is spinning with the intensity. While I have to admit that there are huge gaping plot holes as the drama barrels towards its conclusion, for the most part it’s so ambitious … Continue reading →
