K-actress Kim Yoo Jung is one of the reasons I’ enjoy My Demon because the plot and direction is like a lower tier level Goblin which remains the pinnacle of the fantasy being in love with a human story. Kinda like Lovers of the Red Sky was a cut rate The Moon Embracing the Sun. It’s not her fault and … Continue reading →

This week Yu Shu Xin and Lin Yi are confirmed to lead a modern snowboarding romance C-drama titled Shhh, The King is Hibernating. She plays a manga artist who turns to the slopes after a … Continue reading →
Okay, this is kinda big news if true. A K-ent report is saying that Song Kang will not attend the 2023 year end SBS Drama Awards. If true this is a big deal because his drama My Demon is one of the bigger buzz dramas of the year even if the ratings was not as big as hoped for, but … Continue reading →
I think this is one where anti-fans are really not at play and C-actor Wang An Yu really just failed to delivered for what was required. He’s been a rising lead actor and this year popular with fans thanks to joining Divas Hit the Road season 5. His side reportedly was banking on The Last Immortal to permanently level him … Continue reading →
There are a lot of hit movies from one country that can easily be adapted to another and it does sometimes help with exposing a great story to more audiences. The hit 2018 C-movie Us and Them starring Zhou Dong Yu and Jing Bo Ran will be getting a K-remake and now the leads are announced as Moon Ga Young … Continue reading →
Watching wuxia C-drama A Journey to Love gave me lots of rewards aside from solid entertainment. The discovery of fresh faces (to me) was the best as it means more stars to keep an eye on and check out their future works. He Lan Dou playing Princess Yang Ying was my favorite among the youngest members of supporting cast, which … Continue reading →
This is a case where I wished the two dramas airing at separate times because the urge to compare is strongest when two shows are competing for viewership. Fri-Sat dramas My Demon on SBS and Story of Park’s Contract Marriage on MBC even share having a fantasy element in a romance drama and good looking young leads. I enjoy both … Continue reading →

So I marathoned the C-novel adapted into the C-drama The Prisoner of Beauty (also called The Marquis is Innocent) during a long flight to Asia this week and good lord I need this drama to air RIGHT NOW. It’s the perfect combo of enemies to lovers like Story of Kunning Palace but with a lot more sex. Haha, there will … Continue reading →
So it’s now past the midway point for xianxia C-drama The Last Immortal which is proving itself quite mortal to growing criticism. The drama premiered with a bang, a fast rise out of the gate and solid first impressions. It looked like Zhao Lu Si‘s first big S-level female lead top billed drama would cement her level but now it’s … Continue reading →
tvN is premiered K-drama Marry My Husband on January 1, 2024 which feels apropos because it’s a second chance at life story that lets the wronged woman get pre-emptive revenge and also avoid her old fate. This drama is female lead Park Min Young centric and thank god I like her, she does resilient wrong woman very well haha. She … Continue reading →
There is a new poster for jTBC drama Dr. Slump and other than the title that keeps redirecting any searches for it to the famous Toriyama Akira manga of the same name, which annoys me when I can’t find news easily, now the lackluster first promos are annoying me. The drama stars Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik and … Continue reading →
So even K-netizens are little taken aback at this week’s early domestic reviews for this Friday’s premiere of period supernatural action drama Gyeongseong Creature on Netflix. The drama is tent-poling for Netflix the holiday season just like The Glory did last year which turned out to be an even bigger hit than already anticipated of the top cast and famed … Continue reading →
