I mean, I didn’t know this was one option in order to get un-cancelled in entertainment lol. It is not an unheard of thing in Taiwanese culture, that of legally changing one’s name in order to change one’s fate. Reportedly parents will change a kid’s name if the kid is a bad student, or had a very bad illness, or … Continue reading →
The Zhang Ling He is everywhere talk has been building and kinda crescendo’d this week with insider talks of him in yet another C-drama. He’s done 8 (!) straight iQiyi C-dramas in a row in the span of 3 years, including supporting, cameo, and lead roles and while some have been mega hits like Love Between Fairy and Devil or … Continue reading →
I hope this drama gets a real English title soon because calling it Tibetan Sea Opera just frustrates the geography nerd in me. The drama is reportedly announcing official casting soon but the lead will be Xiao Zhan with lesser known Sun Yi as the female lead and Li Hong Yi (the other dude who facetwins with Cheng Yi and … Continue reading →
So the casting of C-drama Wan Zha Chao Huang (English title of the source manhua is Cheating Men Must Die) is for sure Dilraba Dilmurat as the female lead and with the story being that she time and life hops around into different situations where she is the soul inside the female lead and enacts revenge on the cheating man … Continue reading →
So I don’t follow K-pop gossip closely but some news still makes big K-ent news and one was Blackpink member Jisoo confirming her dating relationship with actor Ahn Bo Hyun. Her group make Jennie has reportedly been dating BTS member V for years (never confirmed) and apparently in recent months Lisa is also in a relationship. The reportedly beau is … Continue reading →
Of course not every C-drama can be S- or even A-level in budget but some stuff just looks so cosplay bad I cringe seeing it made on any budget. A new xianxia romance C-drama kicked off filming this week with leads Zhan Bin Bin (Vin Zhang) and Sun Zhenni and the press conference and costume fitting stills had me lol-ing … Continue reading →
Another top C-star did a whirlwind turn in Paris last week for the 2023 fall fashion shows with Gong Jun making the most of his tall male model physique and aura. He attended Elie Saab, Maison Margiela, and also walked the runway as a brand ambassador for L’Oreal at the De File show wearing Julian Fournié. He’s also been a … Continue reading →
So this casting news is as funny as watching the Kentucky Derby and the top three neck in neck horses suddenly get beat by one horse that didn’t even make the front of the pack after a last turn breakneck gallop. The leads are confirmed for the third chapter of the Fox Spirit Matchmaker drama series the Wang Quan chapter … Continue reading →
Last month September was all about fashion weeks in Paris and Milan during fall shows and plenty of Chinese and Korean stars were in attendance whether as paid guests or as invited fans. This week gossip came out that former costars Song Yi and Bai Jing Ting from the drama Destined who have been rumored to be dating in real … Continue reading →
We’re into October 2023 and I’m hopeful there will be at least 2-3 big C-dramas to release before year end. One of which is likely modern workplace romance Only for Love, which according to insiders will drop later this month at the end of October. Reportedly Bai Lu and Dylan Wang are gearing up for a full promo circuit in … Continue reading →
So I wrote last week about Dilraba Dilmurat signed on for a period C-drama next with a female centric lead and revenge plus time travel story. It’s called Wan Zha Chao Huang 万渣朝凰 and the English title of the source manhua is called Cheating Men Must Die mwahaha love it. She’s confirmed though not official but now C-ent is abuzz … Continue reading →
I really love how down to earth, natural, and full of affection this wedding photo shoot is with two stars tying the know. Actress Park So Jin, formerly Sojin of Girl’s Day, and actor Lee Dong Ha have announced their upcoming wedding and released pictures from their engagement photo shoot. Both are for me recognizable from their supporting roles in … Continue reading →
A new poster is out today for C-drama Guardians of the Dafeng from the production company and Tencent to celebrate the drama hitting 500,000 reservations on the streaming platform. Starring Dylan Wang and Tian Xi Wei, the drama is adapted from the same name novel and seems like a swashbuckler type story. I continue to love Dylan’s ponytail look and … Continue reading →
