The bells will be tolling soon and maybe doves will also fly lol, just teasing, I mean the wedding date is coming soon for engaged star couple Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon. This week their wedding invitation was posted online and since it’s friends and family only invite I wonder which friend and family will be sussed out … Continue reading →
At this point I wonder if jTBC is just trying to troll the K-netizens, otherwise why keep doing bizarre stunts around its controversy laden period drama Snowdrop. This Monday in South Korea, President Moon Jae In delivered the annual President’s New Year’s speech to the public and every single television channel cut into programming to live broadcast it. Every channel … Continue reading →
Half of me wants this to never happen because nothing can be as good as the book, and half of me has been waiting for it to happen for so long I just want it to actually happen even if it sucks. C-ent is reporting that the long planned drama adaptation of fantasy romance C-novel Lost You Forever (Chang Xiang … Continue reading →
A sense of deja vu isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it certainly means having to compete with the memory of the predecessor. The first teaser is out for SBS 2022 rom-com drama A Business Proposal (Office Blind Date) and the first off is that I like the original Korean title better. It’s adapted from the same name webtoon and … Continue reading →
The whirlwind that was December 2021, with so many dramas competing on the weekend time slots, controversy, and year end awards wrap, I lost sight that tvN medical drama Ghost Doctor was premiering this Monday. It’s arrival on January 3 marks the first premiere of 2022 and it should be an easy watch. Starring Rain, Kim Bum, UEE, and Son … Continue reading →
It’s nearing the end of the run for SBS drama Now, We are Breaking Up and at this point I’m just wondering how much lower the ratings will go. It dropped to 4.2% for the most recent episode 14 that aired on Saturday but last week’s episode 13 already went into that territory with 4.9%. For those still watching, is … Continue reading →
The new year snuck up on me and so did MBC sageuk drama The Red Sleeve Cuff ending this weekend. Like, so soon? The drama was extended by 1 episode so ended with a total of 17-episodes, which adds to the standard worry that it will end draggy anytime there is an extension to a hit drama to milk out … Continue reading →
I legit never thought I would see a live-action Surprised Pikachu Face in K-ent but here we are and it’s adorable. The winners at the big three network Year End Drama Awards are usually known in advance, if you show up it means you know you’re winning something. The K-drama On Air went deep in there to start the series … Continue reading →
CJ Entertainment which owns the rights to K-drama Crash Landing on You announced a few months ago that the drama would get a US remake. Apparently nothing is confirmed yet because CJ remains in discussions over which US company will get the remake rights. I thought it could be Netflix which had the streaming rights to the original series which … Continue reading →
The 2021 KBS Drama Awards was the surprising highlight for me of the three network ceremonies, there was so many of my faves in attendance and everyone looked great! Even the black dresses were uniquely cut so it wasn’t so boring, but most of the ladies took bigger fashion chances than the Korean actress contingent usually do. It was a … Continue reading →
SBS handed out a heck ton of awards at the year end celebration today and the 2021 SBS Drama Awards was definitely more jam packed with dramas and stars than the prior night over at MBC. The Daesang went to Kim So Yeon for Penthouse, well deserved as her performance was beloved by critics and viewers even if the character … Continue reading →
The look into 2022 K-dramas is starting in earnest now as all the promos are for dramas premiering in the new year. jTBC will be hoping for less or no controversy for its next Wed-Thurs drama Thirty Nine, taking over for Artificial City in early February. Starring Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun, it tells the … Continue reading →
Seeing the making of video with so many BTS moments released by tvN as the first look at February 2022 drama Twenty Five Twenty One, I get a Memento moment with female lead Kim Tae Ri. She’s so bright, bubby, radiating optimism as required by her character a fencing prodigy, it feels like her acting career is going backwards in … Continue reading →
