There are two more episodes left so it’s only a question of how high the ratings could possibly get next week. This week’s episode 14 of Crash Landing on You hit 17.705% after episode 13 dipped slighting from last week’s high. Clearly viewers are addicted and tuned in live to watch which is what a good show can still do, … Continue reading →
While tvN drama Crash Landing on You has defied its silly set up and achieved a steady ratings rise during its airing, weekend newcomer jTBC Fri-Sat drama Itaewon Class has been nothing short of record making. The underdog Park Seo Joon drama premiered last week to 4.983% ratings which was incredible already, but each episode has risen to 5.330%, then … Continue reading →
I love this CF concept so much, more accurately Kim Yoo Jung‘s entire look. Her agency Sidus HQ released three stills from the CF filming for a new mobile cellphone and all I can see is Kim Yoo Jung’s impeccably and perfectly eyeliner rimmed eye makeup. It’s to-die-for as a going out at night look, and could either be made … Continue reading →
The screenwriter of Crash Landing on You really has her hands on the steering wheel even into the final stretch. The story continues to balance deftly the romance, the friendships, and the humor, and does so across the border so scenes in South Korea and North Korea are just as interesting. As Se Ri and Jung Hyuj progress to couple … Continue reading →
The first movie trailer is out for Confidence Man JP: Princess, the next installment of the wildly popular over-the-top and endearing con man story with Nagasawa Masami as the Dako, the high flying grifter of many faces and talents. I watched the movie set in HK recently on the plane and was so entertained, but there is also the original … Continue reading →
TW-actor Wu Zun may not be the best “actor” around but he’s transformed himself into variety star and now also a contender in the annals of best star husbands in entertainment. I didn’t even know Hallyu top star K-actor Kim Soo Hyun wasn’t fully confirmed yet for this drama but good to know with the news this week that now he is. One is confirmed and that’s enough to get me interested in this long planned but finally getting filmed K-drama. Song Seung Heon makes his first return to MBC in 7 years for the romance drama Shall We Have Dinner Together. It was a drama in the works since 2017, if I remember correctly, but is now heading legit into production … Continue reading →
Man, are there NO SINGLE MEN in J-ent? Like, is the entirety of the industry married men so women have no choice but to cheat because there is an ratio imbalance? Two weeks after actor Higashide Masahiro was caught cheating on wife Watanabe Anne with aspiring actress Karata Erika, a second cheating scandal has been exposed by the tabloids. Veteran … Continue reading →
Even when a popular athlete retires and then unretires it’s annoying. Much less someone so fallen from grace and needs to never ever be in the media again decides he wants back everything he’s lost due to his own misconduct and lies. Park Yoochun held a fan meeting in Thailand last month and got people to pay him to attend, … Continue reading →
Woo hoo, the zombies are coming back a month from now. Streaming service Netflix announced today that zombie K-drama Kingdom will premiere its second season next month on March 13th. The first season was so good but also sooooo worrying with how broadly the zombie infection was spreading I’m kinda not sure if this is the right time to dive … Continue reading →

I find J-actress Ishihara Satomi great in procedurals and she’s coming back this Spring with a new Fuji TV dorama called Unsung Cinderella. It’s based on a same name manga and her character visuals looks sooooo much like the manga character it just reinforces how crazy pretty she is in real life. It’s the story of a hospital pharmacist who … Continue reading →
