Upcoming tvN Sat-Sun drama Romance is a Bonus Book (Romance Supplement) is really playing up its literary roots. From the first couple’s posters with leads Lee Jong Seok and Lee Na Young hiding behind books both big and normal sized, the work place romance between a publisher and writer dances between the pages of literary touches. The latest full cast … Continue reading →
Memories of Alhambra feels like a drama within a drama, or perhaps a game within a game. With two more episodes left, I’m enjoying it still but can’t get immersed in the opposite way Jin Woo is fully immersed in the AR game that’s take over his drama real life. There is so much PPL for Subway and even shopping … Continue reading →
Yeah, I don’t know how I feel about this. K-ent is reporting that Son Ye Jin and Jung Hae In are in talks to reunited with PD Ahn Pan Seok who directed them in Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food (Something in the Rain) for his upcoming drama airing on MBC. It’s called Spring Night and will also be written … Continue reading →
C-actress Liu Shi Shi has confirmed her rumored pregnancy, the first for her and husband Nicky Wu after being married for three years. Their romance is the stuff of drama dreams, of course the reel to real part where they turned the drama heartache of Bu Bu Jing Xin into a real world happily ever after, which is way better … Continue reading →
My love-hate relationship with the Hong Sisters continues, with too much baggage for it to ever delve into straight up loathing but honestly I’m just along for the curiosity rather than optimism of a well-written drama ahead. The two ladies continue to rummage up interesting ideas, much like they tried with their last drama Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey) adapting The Journey … Continue reading →
The first teaser is out for the jTBC Fri-Sat drama Legal High and it totally made me smile. The sparring between leads Jin Goo and Seo Eun Soo is exactly the same vibe as in the original with Sakai Masato and Aragaki Yui, makes me want to rewatch the original and make time for the K-version. With Jin Goo being … Continue reading →
There was a spurt of excitement followed by tempered expectations with news of K-actor Kim Woo Bin‘s return to acting. He’s been on a work hiatus for going on two years now since early 2017 due to cancer treatments that are reportedly successful and he’s in remission. He’s been spotted last year vacationing in Hawaii with good friend Lee Jong … Continue reading →
I feel like all that needs to be dissected about Memories of Alhambra is over and done with, the flaws and strengths remain at what it is and it’s just riding the train for the final four episodes to see how the writer resolves everything. I’ve never seen a drama where one lead has had to hard carry the entire … Continue reading →
I still remember the whiplash that was Lee Jun Ki and Park Min Young working together on variety show My Ear’s Candy from two years ago. From the fans excited with their wonderful voice chemistry from the show to the anger when it was revealed that Lee Jun Ki was dating fellow Namoo Actors colleague Jeon Hye Bin in real … Continue reading →
It’s been a busy day for casting drama casting new and now there’s a big movie offer to stir up excitement. K-actress Kim Tae Ri is following up her huge 2018 starring in the highest rated cable K-drama of the year Mr. Sunshine with a movie back to her movie roots. She got her start in the high profile arthouse … Continue reading →
This week’s episodes 11-12 of Encounter (Boyfriend) felt like a slow leisurely walk much like the one Jin Hyuk and Soo Hyun went on when he gave her the couple rings. These two are very mellow people and their romance feels like an old marriage couple acting like two fresh-faced kids. It’s not a diss because I adore their sincerity … Continue reading →
I feel like the ending in Goblin, the third go-around for the second leads Yoo In Na and Lee Dong Wook, can function as the set up for these two to reunite in upcoming tvN romance Touch Your Heart. It’s basically taking their actress and uptight cop character and changing him into an uptight lawyer now lol. The posters, new … Continue reading →
As one of the K-ent’s fast rising young leading men, Ahn Hyo Seob made one smart choice last year by dropping the meh Clean With Passion for Now and taking on the second male lead delightfully loveable role in Thirty But Seventeen. Now he’s up for the leading man role opposite Park Bo Young in the upcoming physical looks switching … Continue reading →
