I love the casual hanboks with slightly mussy hair look Moon Chae Won is sporting as the titular Mama Fairy in the upcoming drama Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter (Tale of the Gyeryong Fairy). Her natural radiant warmth fits this look so well, giving her an otherworldly yet down to earth vibe in the modern day setting opposite suited and casual everyday wear of the male leads Yoon Hyun Min and Seo Ji Hoon. In the first drama stills showing all three leads in the same frame, everyone looks visually compatible so that’s a relief. Moon Chae Won’s character has lived for nearly 700 years and is searching for the reincarnation of her woodcutter husband but I don’t think it’s for love and may be to get her hidden fairy wings back so she can finally bid adieu to this mortal realm and fly back to heaven.
