I’m not a true data nerd but it’s always useful to have hard numbers to look at rather than a general sense of buzz. Datawin released it’s most anticipated C-dramas list this week so as of mid-November these are the dramas that are getting the most searches and chatter online. Number one goes to The Immortal Ascension (A Mortal’s Guide to Immortality) starring Yang Yang so it’s definitely a testament to how popular he is. In second spot is Guardians of the Dafeng with Dylan Wang and Tian Xi Wei, so between these two dramas it’s Immortal that is going into airing with more strength but of course it can all change once viewers see the end product. Third place is a surprise with Family Business with Yang Zi and Han Dong Jun, the surprise is that it just started filming and in fact Yang Zi has an even bigger drama with Flourished Peony already finished filming but that drama is only in the 7th spot. Fourth place is Blossom with Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui, fifth goes to Noble Lady with Chen Du Ling and Xin Yun Lai, and six spot is the only modern drama in the top group with Love’s Ambition with Zhao Lu Si and William Chan.
