This Wednesday is the premiere of new SBS Wed-Thurs drama Yongpal (Yongpalyi), taking over for the ratings leader Mask and giving audiences a different type of dish to sink their teeth into. Instead of inheritance and identity hijinks, Yongpal goes for inheritance and medical hijinks, with a side of fast-paced action. I like the cast of Kim Tae Hee, Jo Hyun Jae, Chae Jung Ahn, and Jung Woong In, and leaving the male lead Joo Won for last is simply to state that I’m warming up to him thanks to him giving me a fun vibe all the previews.
The cast attended the press conference last week, with plenty of pretty but nothing terribly interesting as evidenced by the pictures below. Well, other than Chae Jung Ahn’s red outfit that rather defies description other than perhaps being a toga jumpsuit? Kim Tae Hee still looks fantastic next to her Nine-tailed Fox leading man Jo Hyun Jae, even if he’s her brother in this drama and trying to kill her. She also looks great with Joo Won, which doesn’t surprise me since she tends to match up well visually with almost any male lead, and he’s also got a good noona streak going ever since surprising fans opposite Eugene in Baker King, Kim Tae Goo. Check out all the latest goodies below to decide if this drama might be up your alley.
