Yongpal Releases Excellent Drama Poster with Artfully Arranged Kim Tae Hee and Joo Won
Upcoming SBS Wed-Thurs drama Yongpal (Yongpalyi) is certainly going for style in all the promos so far. Whether it’ll end up being style over substance is yet to be seen but it certainly doesn’t hurt the drama to ramp up the visual aesthetics from the outset. Currently airing SBS melodrama Mask continues the ratings winnings streak for the network on Wed-Thurs so it doesn’t hurt that follow up drama Yongpal plays up the dramatic angle to the max. I liked the first teaser but noticed it reminded me of the teaser for KBS revenge thriller Shark, while others saw the similarity to KBS surprise hit Secret (Secret Love).
The first drama poster dropped over the weekend and really took my breath away, in a good way of course, for being one of the most unique and memorable K-drama posters in years. The simple black background with white lettering and scalpel to illuminate the face and profile of leads Kim Tae Hee and Joo Won deserves kudos. There’s danger and darkness emanating from the streamlined design, exactly what a good poster should do in hinting at the story with a persuasive lure.

Ohhhh, that poster is absolutely breathtaking. That aside, I don't have confidence in SBS going by how they're butchering The Time We Were Not In Love. It really wasn't that difficult given the PD + lead actors combo they had on board. Recently they've screwed over Hyun Bin & HJW with the scripts being absolute messes. Sheeesh, an utter disappointment!
Plus some very severe cases of ppl frenzy all over SBS! I can already imagine the multiple close-ups to KTH's beauty products, clothes, shoes, purses etc...and to JW as well!
I didn't read the title well so at first I thought it was Kim Ji Won in the knife pic and I kept thinking why is she in this drama. They look way too alike in some photos it's confusing.
Why I'm getting a feeling that Younpal will change Koala's opinion for Joo Won as Dr Stranger did for LJS...hahaha :P
haha count me in too. so far, i never admire any of Joo Won's work (im not hater, just i dont have much interest for Joo Won's character before)..
Since i decided to watch this because of Kim Tae Hee, i'm ready to change my mind about Joo Won, since i do think Joo Won is talented actor, just me myself who fail to have interest for him before. hee
Well, I really don't want mask to end. Soo Ae and Joo Ji Hoon couple is killing me with their cuteness and explosive chemistry. They remind me of the writer's surprise hit Secret Love. MASK is totally makjang but addicting. And who doesn't want Min Woo?
i will definitely watch again Mask later, because i did watched Secret for twice already. hehe.
